"I was traveling solo through Matsushima Bay and I found this amazing Ryokan through an AI/Google search. I was highly impressed with service provided by the staff! I especially liked their use of some cool technology I had not seen before (it was a set up of two microphones, one facing the guest and one facing the staff, that automatically translated speech to text for display on a digital board between us as we spoke to each other). This was extremely helpful during my check in/out process since I usually fumble with Google Translate.
My room + the view was immaculate and had everything I needed plus more! I thoroughly enjoyed my onsen experience and I can’t wait to experience more in the future. This was the best choice I could have made for my first true Ryokan experience.
Note: They have a set time for dinner so if you are arriving after they have completed dinner service be prepared to make other arrangements just in case."
