"The property is in an amazing town with much history. The biggest problem is access. We made reservations five months before we arrived and at that time we requested a room on a lower floor, knowing the topography of the town and that some rooms had many steps. "It was our the best stay in Sicily. Quiet, peaceful place; local cuisine for dinner; very pleasant hosts; spacious room and jet tub worked very well. Location is perfect for visiting Modica, Noto and Ragusa. Rural, beautiful area! Will definitely stay there again when visiting Sicily. Thank you!"

"We are 30 years old couple and stayed one night in La Maddalena. The place has a warm athmosphere but is a bit old dated. One person from a kind staff spoke english during our stay. We ate a good dinner from a short menu. There isn't own pools as mentioned in hotels.com (which is not a surprise however) and bed was very unconfortable in the room with no window. The breakfast was very italian with several choices."

"The beach is fantastic for young children - our 5 year old granddaughter did not want to leave it. The hotel is clean. It celebrated its 50th anniversary in 2017 - and shows its age in parts. We were disappointed with the breakfast, but we were (just) out of season."

"We rented a car and drove from Siracusa, with stops in surprisingly beautiful Noto and historic Modica before arriving in Ragusa, one of the most beautifully situated cities anywhere! I chose the Itria Palace due to it's location and with our having a car, parking was an issue. Right next to the hotel is a free public parking lot with plenty of spaces. And, there is a ramp to the hotel's lower entrance. We were housed in the hotel's annex located across the street, which is lovely, the rooms are bright, clean and nicely appointed. Our rooms had incredible views of the main hotel and the Ibla valley and old buildings hanging off the walls of the city. The staff were excellent and the breakfast buffet was beautifully presented in the star-vaulted rooms on a lower floor. Delicious array of breakfast items. My only complaint is that we only stayed for one night, the hotel would make and excellent place to stay for several nights to explore the region. That being our problem, not the hotel! Very highly recommended. "
