"Have you ever been to a wildly under-resourced elementary school where the staff was doing their very best with what they've got? That's sort of the vibe here. Tucked away behind a Casey's General Store and next to a U-Haul lot, on an industrial corridor with nary a blade of grass in sight. Walls were thin, the TV off-line, coffee was weak, the breakfast not really worth the time. That said, the manager appeared to stay at her post from sun-up to sundown, was cheerful and efficient. My room was perfectly clean, the bed was clean, firm and comfortable, the shower worked and the water pressure was fine. There was a tiny microwave (which I didn't use) and a small fridge (which I did). The heat/AC was quiet and efficient. The price was quite reasonable."

"This location does not have free breakfast but it does have a wonderful-smelling restaurant and bar. As a family, we chose to visit other venues for our short stay. The staff was both informative and accommodating from check-in to check-out. Our room was clean, the pool area was clean and well-maintained, as were the grounds where we parked/entered. Located just off the interstate, close to the zoo, food and all other stops on our itinerary, it helped to keep our stay relaxing and enjoyable."

"I stay at Magnolia at least three times per year and each time is enjoyable. The rooms are clean and quiet. The staff is always friendly and the location is fantastic. Plus, the lobby always smells so good. The fragrance the hotel uses in their diffuser should be sold at their front desk. "

"The place is absolutely gross. I’m not sure our room was really cleaned. There were visible hand prints on the sliding door. Wall paper falling off everywhere, furniture in terrible shape, bathroom needed a lot of tlc and the hole place was stinky. Best part was the two ladies at the front desk doing the best they could. "
