The COVID-19 pandemic has resulted in significant changes to how we travel. If you plan to visit Seychelles, the following tips will help you navigate these new traveling challenges:
- Research if any travel restrictions apply to your destination and origin before booking your flight. Also check if there are any special conditions you’ll need to follow on arrival, such as undergoing health assessments.
- Requirements state that you must wear a face mask at the airport, including at screening checkpoints. You should be prepared to lower your mask for ID purposes when asked.
- You’re no longer required to hand your boarding pass (electronic or paper) directly to a TSA employee. Instead, place your pass on the reader and then hold it up so the agent can inspect it.
- TSA is now permitting passengers to take one container of hand sanitizer, up to 12 oz (350 ml) in size, in carry-on bags. This will need to be removed from your bag at the X-ray machine for screening.
- Place any personal items (e.g, keys, phone and wallet) in your carry-on rather than a bin to minimize handling during the screening process.
- Separate any food you have for X-ray scanning. Food items often trigger the alarm. Putting them in a clear plastic bag and into a bin reduces the need for a TSA officer to handle and inspect your belongings.
