"Vintage 1920’s era hotel. Quite well kept and clean overall. Helpful staff and service. I liked the “frontier” feel of the hotel. If you usually stay at the Royal Hilton Premiere, this might not be the hotel for you. But if you like a clean economical place to stay, along with plentiful great food on site, this is a great choice."

"Stayed in Room 223 while visiting for the Cold Lake Air Show and had a memorable stay overall. The staff were very accommodating and brought us extra towels when we needed them. Adequately clean. The bed was comfortable and sheets very clean. The AC was operating but had very limited cooling capacity. It provided some cooling locally, but failed to reasonably cool the room even when left running. We ended up buying three fans to stay comfortable and were often hit with waves of heat. I wonder if 223 being directly above a suite marked LAUNDRY contributed to the heat. A couple of other items could use some repairs as well. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and appreciated the friendly service. Adequate AC would greatly improve guests’ experience, and it would be the main factor in deciding to return."

"In Boyle for a day at the beach and decided to stay for a night instead of driving back to Edmonton. Check in was normal and smooth. The desk person was proficient and respectful. When on an adventure it is always exciting to first enter your temporary dwelling. This room is very spacious and clean offering a full refrigerator and stove. As well as a microwave and a twin pullout bed. The main bedroom is also spacious and comfortable. The air conditioning could work a little harder on the hot day we were there but that is somewhat minor. The room is very close to a grocery store as well as the town’s main eating establishments. Two liquor stores are near by if necessary. We decided to go to Peggy’s Bistro which offers a fine menu. I had an above par clubhouse and my wife the gluten free natchos Baked not deep fried) and a very generous slice of gluten free tiramisu. The fish and chips special on Friday’s is massive and looks delicious. What a nice surprise. Overall the whole trip fantastic. Nice beach, great room and above par small town dining. Will definitely consider a redo of this trip."

"Toilet seat not secured, window had no lock on it, check in wanted me to give them $250 cash for a deposit. I arrived late at night and was gone first thing in the morning, I did not pay a deposit as this requirement was not noted during booking. Overall, it wasn’t the worst experience I’ve had, but I’m not sure I’d stay there again. One good thing to note, wifi was fast and the bed was very comfy."
