"Great Hotel, standard of rooms, gym and restaurant /bars was above expectations. Some Front lobby staff could be a little more pleasant, but most were good. Barmen are a credit to whoever trains them, engaging and friendly, know when to pour a next one!"

"Food, drinks and entertainment were impeccable. Service lacked. Staff was very forgetful. It started with check in. First the front desk personal was unable to find my reservation, then I was told my room wasn't ready, it was 5:30pm. I just took a 4 1/2hr flight and 2hr car ride. Hotel check in starts at 3pm, I didn't understand how 2 1/2hrs later my room was still unavailable. I was told to sit in the lobby area and wait or I can go get a drink at the bar. After an hour of waiting, he recognizes me and apologized for "forgetting about me". I get told room still says not ready and they had to call the manager. It’s now 640pm. Finally at 7pm I am told it's ready. Bell boy drives my luggage and I there, then leaves. My room key isn’t working. Lobby is a 5min walk from my building. I had to go all the way back to the lobby to get my key reprocessed I finally got in my room at 730pm. Then I had a massage booked for 1pm they told me come at 12 to enjoy the pool, sauna and relaxation room. The locker they assigned me doesn’t lock so they tell me use the one next to it but keep my robe and towel from my original one. I come back from the pool and the robe and towel is gone. Then I go wait in the relaxation room 15minutes before 1. After 45 minutes of waiting I say something and they realized they forgot about me, I had to then wait another 30mins for another masseuse and room. The most I got for any of my in convinces was $20 off my massage and an apology. "

"This has been the most relaxing holiday we have ever had, we left feeling really nourished by it. All the staff are very welcoming and pleasant, we had all the help we wanted and it always came cheerfully with a smile. Fond Doux has a lovely laid back vibe, lush gardens full of birds, lovely to sit out in the evening listening to frogs and crickets calling. The resort is near to the two Pitons, volcanic hot springs & mud baths, botanical gardens & diamond waterfall, several beaches (a shuttle is provided to Sugar Beach). The Tet Paul Trail is a 30 minute walk up the road (up bring the operative word!) and there is also a ‘Piton View Trail’ within the grounds of Fond Doux which, although steep up and down, is well worth doing. There are two swimming pool areas on the property, both very nice. We didn’t use the sauna or gymn but did join Pilates and Aquarobics which were great. The food was great, the hotel restaurant has a Carribean night with live music - great on both the Saturdays we were there. Highly recommended resort if you prefer quiet, private locations in Nature rather than the larger bustling resorts on offer."

"The views at Windjammer Landing are outstanding, the staff friendly and the amenities great. The gym has Peleton bikes which we loved so pack your clip ons. There are treadmills, an elliptical, stationary bike and a rowing machine. You have a few weight machines, lots of free weights and an enclosed studio with mats etc. The staff don't seem to be able to keep up with towel supplies, fresh fruit or wet towels for wipe down so bring your own. We switched rooms half way through and they are not created equal. Our first week we had a beautiful room and view but we needed to change for 3 extra nights. Same price but oh my goodness! The second room had no shower caddy, mirror falling off the wall, kitchen cabinets with doors that were not secure, filthy window coverings. Actually the room floors were filthy too. Room 46...stay away!!! Quite old and dilapidated. Shocking! Watch your invoice at the end and check it carefully. We had 2 charges that were not ours (the people beside us checking out had the same issue). Our credit kept getting charged during our stay for various items. I check my credit card daily online and would have to call the front desk for an explanation. Their accounting system needs some help and they seem to be lax with their allocation of charges. Just check your invoices carefully. In all Windjammer Landing is quite beautiful and very welcoming for families. We loved our stay but they do have a few issues to address."
