Holiday Inn Erie by IHG

La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Erie
2/10 Terrible
"Choose another hotel if you don't appreciate being charged twice. As far as interstate hotels go, It was fairly clean, but with obvious maintenance issues, such as clogged slow draining sink. Besides an old springy bed and flat useless old pillows, the charges to my credit card were my main issue. I paid in full in advance for my room through Hotels ca/Expedia. I checked out in the morning, no issues, and when looking at my credit card transactions later on, I noticed 2 pending La Quinta Inn charges on my statement. A pet fee, which I was expecting, and also the full amount for the room. Called the hotel to ask what was the reason, desk agent flat out said it's not there and I needed to call the manager. Funny she was the exact lady that handled my check in the night before. Why would a manager who wasn't there know more than me. Called La Quinta customer service directly and they were even more oblivious and didn't even know what amount is held on a card for incidentals. Regardless, after check out that amount should have been released. "

Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites in North East (Erie) by IHG
6/10 Okay
"With it's waterpark pool, this is an ideal location for families with young children.
However, we are seniors, just looking for a quiet place to rest our heads after a 10-hour day of travel.
We arrived late on a Saturday afternoon and parking was a nightmare!
The pool is visible from the lobby through the glass wall. It was jam packed with screaming kids! There were kids everywhere! They were running dripping wet through the lobby. Any thought of slipping quietly into the hot tub to relax after our long day were instantly dashed.
Also, the pool is not exclusively for hotel guests, local families can purchase a daily pool pass. This explains why the parking lot was so jammed upon our arrival.
Avoid staying here on a weekend if you are not travelling with children.
We tried to have a nap before dinner, but kids were running, crying and screaming up and down the halls.

Days Inn by Wyndham Erie
2/10 Terrible
"When we arrived on the first day the one door was crossed off with police tape. We thought maybe the door just broke so we proceeded. When we entered the hallway it smelled like marijuania so bad we think we got a contact high.
We booked the room for two adults and when we got to the room there was only 1 set of towels. The shower curtain had mold stains and there was brown stains on the ceiling in the shower. The refrigerator only worked for 2 hours then off for 8 hours,
We asked for clean sheets on day 2 before we left for the day. We came back to a pile of clean unfolded sheets on a stand with the dirty sheets still on the bed. We had to make our bed. When we took the sheets off the bed we observed pee stains all over the mattress pad. The room was filthy when we checked in. I did not see any housekeeping either day I was there. I only gave them one star because we couldn’t give zero stars. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone you would be better off sleeping in your car."
