Oualie Beach Resort
8/10 Good
"My 16-year-old son and I had a great stay at Oualie! If you are looking for a luxurious, posh place to stay, this is not it! This is an authentic, island vibe. All the staff were super friendly and helpful. It’s location is convenient. We rented a car and went all over the island. The restaurant did great with their limited menu. Breakfast was our favorite. We caught Wahoo on a fishing charter and the chef did a FANTASTIC job preparing it for us. There are monkeys, random sheep and cows that would wander through the property. The screened in porch on our cottage was priceless for wet snorkels, towels and swimsuits. Now to the room. Very clean, housekeepers did an excellent job. Mattresses were very hard, but we slept okay. Let’s talk about the shower…BIG downfall with the $5 shower curtain. We soaked the bathroom floors 3-4 times because of the flimsy shower curtain. They could easily upgrade this and replace the shower heads….very cheap. Some paint on the vanity would do wonders to class it up. If you plan to watch TV, bring your binoculars. This doesn’t affect us, we were very active and exhausted at the end of the day, so I read and my son watched his phone for about 30 minutes. The groundskeeping could be improved, random pieces of clothing lying around. If the owners would invest some money, this could be a true gem of a resort. Excellent location. You can walk to the public dock and easily water taxi to St Kitts."

Royal St. Kitts Hotel

"To be fair we barely spent any time on the resort just sleep and went out. But I loved that there was restaurants, pharmacy and supermarket right by the entrance. The rooms have all you need stove, microwave, coffee maker, refrigerated, cups dishes plates utilities you name it. It’s walking distance to many more restaurants and beaches. I loved being in St. kitts"

"Everything was almost perfect but the hallways need a little maintenance. Rooms were very clean , had microwave, stove & refrigerator. The doors do need a little updating too. But I love it there. 😁"

Belle Mont Sanctuary Resort
10/10 Excellent
"Very good experience overall, the positives outnumber the negatives to reach still a five star and because it was the low season and I believe we had a good deal, it was worth it. The positive: the place was fresh in July, we did not experience heat, It was not humid and it was very windy all the time. As it is set in the mountain. Views were great of the sea, and we could even see st Eustatius when it was clear. The room has very high ceilings, and the space is abundant. The bed was good and so the sheets and pillows. The pool just out of the room was nice to have, We saw monkeys around. The negatives, we felt kind of stuck. There is nowhere to walk other than the property which is down and up steep roads. The restaurant was closed, so we ordered room service from a restaurant which was just ok. The breakfast was good. The outdoor bathroom seems like a good idea and felt liberating. However, with flying curtains due to strong winds, landscapers walking around in the morning, the potential neighbor next door and toilette loving frogs, seems that the room could use shutters that you can open and close instead. It did not feel private at all. It wasn't bad, but not ideal thinking that if the hotel would have actually been busy, then we would have had very little privacy while in the bathroom. The other negative is that roofs are falling apart. An old wooden tile fell on the ground due to high winds, we saw those in the pool area. Overall, excellent and will probably be back."
