"Our family of 5 arrived at the villa at 630pm tired and hoping for a good night rest. Pressed the bell and knocked on the door before someone came down from the villa. Realised they werent aware there is a booking for the night's stay! We had to wait for a good one hour before that poor caretaker sort out the stay wt the owner for our booking and then cleaned the rooms. No service recovery and no apologies by the owner at all. Utterly disappointed! "

"A beautiful property nestled in the jungle. The views were amazing and the sounds of the rushing river were super relaxing. The rooms were big and airy. There is no air conditioning but some ceiling fans that do the job perfectly (we were never too hot at night) - the pool with the river view in room 10 was spectacular. "My family and I had a fantastic time staying at the Weir House. Our only regret was that we could only stay one. From the patio of the house, we could hear the rapids of the river and surrounded by verdant forest. Staying here truly was a highlight of our Sri Lanka trip. Mr. Maha, the manager was so very helpful, including assisting us to book a hotel in Kandi when it turned out that the place we originally booked was a huge disappointment.
