The bridge in the town of Vaison-la-Romaine led up to the medieval quarter. It's worth the time to explore if you've got good knees- it's steep. The market in the town is extensive and authentic French for the main. Go early as it closes around 1pm. We went on a Tuesday but check the market days before you head out.

"Very nice staff and the apartment was huge and clean. And super super spartan. Really really basic. No decor, only a few pillows, no hooks to hang up anything in the washroom, kitchen had an old used sponge, some dish soap and a towel. Could definitely benefit from a few nicer amenities (even a new sponge would have been a nice start). It does have great bike storage."
