"The rooms are basic but very reasonably priced and very clean, with aircon and storage for clothes, just what you need! Breakfast at 6euros/person was lovely and served to you in your room. We ate out on our room balcony with breathtaking panoramic views of the castle and surrounding mountains. Lots of hot water, clean fresh towels (daily if required) and shampoo supplied. TV in the room and a full size fridge so you can easily self-cater if you are travelling on a budget. Rooms are so reasonably priced! Our hosts could not do enough for us very helpful, knowledgeable and informative. Hostal Duran is right at the edge of the bustling village, filled with cafe's, bars restaurants (tapas was a favourite for us) and shops. There is also a very clean outdoor public swimming lane pool and a leisure pool, with the fabulous mountains for a back drop at 2euros/person(cash only for the pool). A couple of parks for younger kids, a winery for the adults, a selection of clothes and souvenir shops, a local pharmacy and a high street bank. Great air conditioned direct train link to Malaga Central and a regular local bus service (cash only for the bus). Local taxi drivers are a fountain of knowledge. Andalusia is the home of flamenco steeped in history with hidden gems such as Alora, a must see!"

"Absolutely delighted with our stay. The rooms were clean and had good storage with toiletries and plenty of plug sockets etc. The air con was great :) Oliver was amazing, super helpful with tips and reccomendations as well as greeting us each morning with a yummy breakfast. The pool and garden is so nice to relax in amongst days of exploring the local area. We had a car hire but the train stop is around the corner. So many positives. We would love to stay again, it had everything we needed and with it only being half an hour or so from Malaga airport you cant go wrong. We went to Ronda, sentenil de la bodega, the caminito del rey during our stay. There is plenty more to see and do! 😃 This place is a hidden gem"

"We had a lovely stay at Casa Baliza. Bern and Nathalie were such friendly, welcoming hosts and gave us some great recommendations for places to eat and visit nearby. The hotel has a peaceful, intimate feel, and the pool area is beautiful. We also loved the honesty bar with drinks and poolside snacks. Breakfast was delicious every morning. The hotel is fairly remote, but with a car it was easy to explore the nearby villages before returning to relax by the pool. We'd definitely recommend staying here!"

"Jasper and Evelyn are wonderful hosts and have done an outstanding job of making their place very special - one you wish you had booked for more nights! Our room was perfect. The pool and the view from patio was spectacular. The food, for dinner (€) and breakfast, was all delicious. Definitely, the nicest place we stayed during our two-week travels around southern Spain and worthy of our return."
