"This stay at Blackthorn went above and beyond what I needed - some time and space for myself to write. In the comfort and peace of this hut in this location, I was able to write nearly 10,000 words, unheard of in my everyday busy life at home! "The Fleece is in a great position, right on the Church Green. Perfect for where we needed to be. Our room (room 2) was upstairs in building across from the back of the pub. Large room with a very comfy bed and pillows. Uncomfortably hot as we stayed during a very hot week. Fan provided but only pushed warm air around the room and the window was very small so not much air coming in. Bedroom and bathroom were a bit tired. Window blind hanging off and toilet seat barely attached but we did inform the duty staff member when we left as it wasn't the end of the world while we were staying. Nice staff and good evening meal. Didn't have breakfast but enjoyed sitting outside the front of the pub with cold drinks. Despite a few downsides we would definitely consider staying again"
