"This is truly a unique apartment on the James...It's rough hewn wood framing interior and Elizabethan-style decor lend an air of the spiritual and mystical to your stay. The master bed is SOOO comfortable, the kitchen is well equipped. There are fabulous views from every room. Note that while there is room for 5 guests to sleep, there are only two bedrooms - one with a king size bed, one with a twin bed and one fold out couch in the living room area. The bathrooms are ample and the dining/sitting rooms are very open and comfortable. Teresa, our host, greeted us and introduced us quickly to everything we needed to know. Towels, basic toiletries and small laundry machines are there. It's a very unique place, with tapestries and mystical objects adorning all of the space. Quite an experience. We can recommend your stay there."
"The hotel was quiet, room was clean, staff friendly and we had an excellent breakfast. The hotel has recently been renovated and looks amazing! We can't wait to stay again!"
"We were fortunate to be the only ones staying so we didn't have any issues with the shared bathroom situation. It was pleasantly warm which was surprising because the house is so big. The beds were comfortable. The breakfast piece is definitely not really a thing anymore and it seems like the place is for sale but it's a lovely area and the grounds are gorgeous. We had a fantastic stay after apple picking. "
