"The staff were amazing. Gave us recommendations for local pubs. We were travelling with food and they happily stored our food on their fridge. The hotel location is ideal with a 5 min walk into main street."
"The location was good but the windows in the room cannot be opened and the room was incredibly warm, especially after showering. While I don’t expect air conditioning, I expect to be able to open a window. Otherwise the place was fine."
"A lovely place to stay! The hosts are super helpful and friendly. The place is so relaxing and beautifully decorated. Would definitely stay here again."
"All was good except the room size. We had a Deluxe Double room which is so small that there wasn't any reasonable space for our two carry-on suitcases - the only suitcases we had. We had to put one under the small desk and one in the corner of the bed and window. With the suitcase being closed, it partially blocked the already narrow path to the other side of the bed. It was quite an inconvenience.
To be fair, the hotel's listing provides information of the room size. But it still surprised me that the design of a hotel room didn't put luggage space into consideration at all.
The hotel is new so things are new and clean. It's in the center of the town, very close to a free public car park and a grocery store. "
"We wanted a home base instead of moving around from one hotel to another while we explored this part of Ireland. The Dingle Skellig hotel is in the perfect location if you do not want to be in the center of all the activity. It’s a short ten minute walk to town. After a long day it was wonderful to unwind away from the noise. We requested a sea view room and enjoyed having coffee as we watched the world wake up. Breakfast offered plenty of options, with peaceful views of the water and hotel grounds. Dinner, drinks, and live music in the bar were a treat after a long day of exploring. The hotel staff were friendly and accommodating. It’s always helpful to ask the locals for tips when you’re traveling, and we found that managers Rosarii and Greg’s recommendations for activities, restaurants, and shops exceeded our expectations. We used the spa our final day and highly recommend it. Massage, facial, and relaxation room were the perfect way to rest and renew after a long week of activity.
We walked and used public transportation. The bus from Tralee will drop off at the entrance to the hotel if you let the driver know to stop there. We waited to get off the bus in town by the SuperValu and walked (uphill) back to the hotel. There are also taxis if you prefer.
I was hesitant about staying in the older part of the hotel after reading some negative reviews, but we found everything comfortable, clean, and well maintained. Highly recommend this hotel. We will stay again."
