"The room was clean and the staff were very friendly and treated us well. Parking was easy and we enjoyed dinner on the porch, as well as breakfast at the Buckwood every morning. Air conditioning is manageable, I brought my own small fan based on another person’s review and it improved my comfort. I would definitely return."

"A very large room, with a couch and small kitchen. Intended for extended stays or families. Newer building, well maintained and clean. Very close to I-80, which is good and bad. Easy off/on, but a bit of road noise at night."

"It was a nice room - we needed the space traveling with children. My son was so disappointed by the arcade/play room - he was looking forward to being there but said it was horrible. Pool was nice. Front desk was nice. Overall ok. Could use some updating and nicer pool towels - overall a good place to stay."

"We had a very pleasant stay at the Appalachian Hotel at Mountain Creek. The room was clean and comfortable, and the pool area was also very clean, well maintained, and safe for children. There are two hot tubs next to the pool, as well as a sauna, which made the stay even more relaxing. Parking is free for hotel guests, which was very convenient. The only downside is that the nearby restaurants close quite early, and there are very limited late-night dinner options either inside the hotel or in the surrounding area. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and would recommend the hotel, especially for families."

"This charming little motel is in a very convenient location and is extremely well maintained. Rates are reasonable, the room was spotless and the amenities were way beyond what I had a right to expect. I arrived very late in the evening and Melanie made it easy to check in quickly and was very kind and helpful. The property surrounding the motel is very pretty, too! I would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend this property."

"View was beautiful! But no deck! There aren’t many decks!! Comfortable bed ! TV didn’t seem to work right ! Also we had a jacuzzi in our room that was a little hard to use but that could have been me!!! The room was really nice! If you’re a lake person it’s a beautiful spot! Lots of boats! Fun for kids! Two pools separated! Adult & kids! A plus!"

"We stayed here for one night, just a stop on our way through for a motorcycle trip. The check in process was easy and the woman at the front desk was friendly even though it was late (around 10pm). we were pleasantly surprised with how clean the rooms were and the overall setup and updates of the room was nice. Windows on both sides of the room and in the bathroom too which I liked. The bed was comfortable enough but a little on the hard side for my taste. There are a lot of food options near and Walmart is just down the road. My only complaint is just that you can hear the road noise from the highway. Usually it doesn't bother me and helps me go to sleep but its a heavy trucking road so when a truck has a bad tire you definitely hear it. Overall our stay was great for what we needed it for and would do it again."
