This is a beautiful setting by the sea with idyllic walking in the area. The host greets you at the door and provides a thorough review of all the small things you usually have to ask about. A very comfortable lounge. I was able to open my window and listen to the songbirds greeting the day.

Fab guest house
Fabulous place to stay of you want peace and quiet in beautiful surroundings. Great accommodation with helpful staff. Will certainly be back the next time we are in the area.

Exceptional Guest House
A wonderful surprise finding this gem hidden in a beautiful and peaceful setting. Not one detail has been overlooked, including a mini-fridge with a fresh bottle of milk in the guest room to a heated mattress pad, everything has been well thought out as well as being warmly received. An exceptional guest house.

Absolutely Fantastic
Absolutely fantastic. Beautiful location. You simply can not fault Kiltearn Guest House. Fabulously friendly and really clean. We would have loved to stay here longer.

Deluxe comfort
We chose to stay at Kiltearn Guest house towards the end of our tour of North Scotland in our motorhome. It was just the deluxe comfort we needed. King size bed, fluffy towels and a cracking breakfast. We also booked afternoon tea which was absolutely amazing! One of the best I’ve ever had. Would love to return in the winter when those log fires are lit. Stunning views and lots to do in the area. Also on the North Coast 500 route.

Pleasant Stay
Pleasant stay with friendly host. Warm welcome and nice view across the river. This guest house is in the countryside but not far off the main road. Good recommendation for dinner on the Black Isle. An eclectic mix of ornaments in the public areas! Breakfast ok, rooms clean and all the COVID processes in place.

We are disheartened to read that you have posted a poor rating despite having written "amazing home and very welcoming" in our guestbook on your departure? The police incident report concluded your partner found himself locked out of the building at 2:30am, shouting from outside your room window to let him back in. He proceeded to smash our Victorian stained glass window and rip the metal bolt off the interior porch door with great force in order to gain access. He then slept in a separate vacant room to that booked due to you both arguing, which we have not charged extra for. Had he only knocked or rung the doorbell I would have let him in as I was still up working in the kitchen. Despite all of this we were kind enough to make you breakfast before you left. Damages to the stained glass and door, along with using an additional guest bedroom amounts to costs in excess of £1130. Thankfully there were no other guests staying with us at the time. We have yet to decide whether to press charges given that it could have a detrimental affect on your partner's new sporting career, however the loss adjuster may wish to recover costs.

We loved our stay at Kiltearn Guest House - such a lovely house with gorgeous views over the Loch and some very thoughtful details - chilled water on hand and chilled milk in the room. Breakfast was included and was delicious - the room was clean and fresh - a really enjoyable stay.

Peaceful and quiet stay guaranteed
I can't recommend this place highly enough!! Amazing peaceful location, with great views from the rooms over the countryside and /or the lake. The hosts are fantastic and really interested in ensuring that you have a pleasent stay. Since we like our peace and privacy, we are always weary of staying in small Bnbs, however Kiltearn house is super quiet, the rooms are well soundproofed and the owners are very respectful of the guest's privacy.

Quiet and Beautiful Location
Lovely country house and warm welcome. Views over the Cromarty Firth from the front of the house. Choice of breakfast and selection of fruits and cereals. Soft drinks, Tea & Coffee making facilities with fresh milk. Breakfast overlooking the beautiful garden in the conservatory. Eating out in the evening is in the nearby village Evanton about 1.5 miles.
