"The room was spacious (we were in grand room 7), had access to a balcony, was clean (though dated) and the bed was extremely comfortable. As the check in is done by bar staff, there wasn’t a lot of help or guidance as to what to do in the area or places to eat. The bistro at the hotel had great food and a great nearby cafe (Xtraction) where we went for breakfast. Whilst there was a kettle and toaster, there were only two coffee mugs and two glasses (which were used to hold the milk packets in the fridge ). No plates or cutlery, besides one teaspoon. There was nothing to wash/dry the dishes with. But whilst spartan, it was comfortable and we’d stay there again (we now know what to bring). It was very close to Newcastle beach."
"Great location and easy check in and check out done virtually. It is keyless entry so a code is sent to you to use throughout your stay to access your room and other amenities. If you book parking, they send you a separate code, so it can be tricky trying to remember which of the two six digit codes to use.
The lounge room area was spacious with a huge TV. The kitchen was well-equipped to do basic cooking. I found my unit to be comfortable and private. A nice balcony provides extra space to get a bit of fresh air and watch the world go by."
"Wonderful stay. Mel who checked us in was wonderful. Ocean is tight there so relaxing. Wish we had stayed a little longer. Definitely will visit again"
"Only downside no table and chairs in the room. Table and chairs outside on balcony which is lovely for beautiful weather, not so good if cold and rainy"
