The bathroom may have been a lttle small but any shortcoming in this regard was more than compensated for by the attentive staff. Staff at all levels spoke very good english and did everything possible to make our stay enjoyable. Very conveniently located. An easy walk to the Museum of Islamic Art. Good breakfast was included in our tarrif.
A great hotel in the middle of the souq. A comfortable hotel decorated with a modern Arabic style. Loved the location which made it easy to experience the energy and liveliness of the souq. Many restaurants near by. It is located right opposite a mosque so you will hear the call to prayer if your room faces the mosque ... but that just adds to the atmosphere to staying in an Arabic country and in the middle of the market!
This was a perfect hotel to stay in for a week in Doha. I have been to Doha numerous times before and have stayed in the West Bay, but decided to stay in the Souq this time to have a bit more culture (rather that just hanging around a pool with other expats). Great decision. As it's right in the souq, there are so many dining option within a 5 minute walk. The restaurant on the terrace was FANTASTIC - food, service and the view were all stunning. For a little less formal atmosphere, the hotel restaurant on the main floor was equally as good (minus the great view). I ate the "choose your own salad" most days - very reasonably priced and made exactly how you want it. I would definitely stay here again. This is one of the 7? boutique hotels in Souq Waqif, and from what I understood, you can use the other facilities (pool, etc) from any of them - I didn't have time to try. Highly recommended.
