"Great location within the airport (before security), amazing soundproofing we really didn’t hear any noises from outside, couldn’t tell at all that you were within an airport. Comfortable bed, only downside was the wet room which meant everywhere was wet after taking a shower."

"I think the property could be managed better. There was no fridge in the room which was very inconvenient - I wanted to keep my drinks cold but couldn't. The bathroom amenities were very basic and no bath salts, soap by the bath area for example. The room balcony should be cleaned daily- it is full of pigeon poop. Otherwise, the property itself is lovely and historic, there's alot of potential to make this hotel a 5 star place, but you need a good management to be able to do this. The restaurant staff needs training - there were alot of things that were lacking, etc. not asking if we wanted to start with a drink, no ask if our meal was alright, and dining cutlery weren't removed after the meal before desserts, table weren't cleaned. No ask if we wanted a starter, or breads for sides, etc. Breakfast staff also needed more training. Otherwise, Natalia at front desk was very good, pleasant and friendly. "

"Great location if flying from Gatwick South terminal. Room was a good size clean and comfortable. We had access to executive lounge which was a bonus(king executive room) and breakfast in the main restaurant was very good with a buffet with lots of choice. Will definitely stay again if flying from Gatwick"

"I don’t know why I always drove to Gatwick in the middle of the night when I could have stayed in Hampton. North Terminal, right next to the easyJet baggage drop-off. Beautiful, modern room. Comfy bed. Nice buffet breakfast. First time, but definitely not the last."

"If you require accommodation in this area, then take a tent! Booked for two nights, but stayed only one. How this establishment can be allowed to house human beings, is far too difficult for me to imagine. Health and Safety Executive would shut down and condemn in a heartbeat! A stale and sickly malodorous stench, which no doubt is from damp spoors, festoons the entire building, corridors, rooms and even reception ! If you do book in, then sleep on the floor, if your mattress is anything like mine was. This place is way past renovation. It needs a bulldozer!!"

"Rooms need updated. Very unlike most of their “ sister “ properties. Bathrooms poor shape and windows filthy. Exterior grounds in need of desperate tidying weeds all over and poorly exterior grounds keeping. Very disappointed with this hotel .. “ Handpicked “ hotel group is known for much superior interiors and exteriors than this one. "
