Falls Hotel & Spa

10/10 Excellent
"Lovely property near the cliffs of Moher. Quaint Main Street just a few minutes walk. Beautiful location on the falls/river with big bar and formal restaurant that overlooks the falls. While a historic hotel, the rooms have been updated with beautiful upholstery, furniture. Ate at bar first night overlooking the falls. Very good salad and burger with generous portions. Walked to Byrne restaurant/bar for after dinner drink and dessert. V nice place."

Armada Hotel

Armada Hotel

8/10 Good
"The location of this hotel is both spectacular and dramatic. We booked the sea view superior room. We were allocated room 147. What a room, if itโ€™s not the best in the hotel I would like to see what is. Amazing wrap around views of the coast and a copper tub in the corner of the room to admire them from. Outstanding.! Everything about this hotel was wonderful and would normally be a 5* review. The only let down was our room service experience, food order delivered barely warm at best, and incomplete. The waiter was miserable and clumsy. He would benefit from further training, and bringing up to the same standards of customer service as his colleagues. Great hotel, and location. Looking forward to returning soon."

"Everything was fine. Had to go to the hotel next to Shamrock for breakfast, as they are owned by same company. Breakfast was ok, nothing shockingly great, and a bit wasteful, as we were brought food we didnโ€™t need. They should put it all as a buffet."

The Tides B&B

The Tides B&B

10/10 Excellent
"We had a fantastic experience staying at the Tides B&B in Ballybunion. David and Noreen were so welcoming, kind, and helpful as we were planning our next couple days in the Cliffs of Moher, the Burren, and Galway. Our room (#6) was spacious, had a walk in closet with two luggage racks (!) , sizable bathroom with a wonderful four-way shower and bath product. Our king bed was super comfy with luxurious comforter and pillows. We had a lovely sitting area to read books and a fancy coffee/tea making station and mini frig. The breakfast was incredibly generous with the continental breakfast alone offering at least five different cold cereals, cheese, three different pastries (chocolate croissant, plain croissant, cinnamon bun), Guinness banana bread, two kinds of bread for toast, assorted jams and butter, yogurt and fresh fruit salad, a delicious granola yogurt concoction, and several types of juice, coffee, ample tea selection. And Iโ€™m sure Iโ€™m missing some items! On top of all that you can add hot items - Irish breakfast, eggs and sausage and bacon and hash browns, two different kinds of crepes, and more. While we were not here to golf this time, clearly most folks are golfers. We wanted to be closer to the Tarbert Ferry to head north as we were coming from (a terrible hotel stay) in Dingle and the Tides was a welcome oasis for us. It was also lovely to not deal with difficult parking for the first time in Ireland! We hope our travels bring us back to Ballybunion and to visit"

"The only issue we had was the property texted us a key box code for our room to my phone and I didn't have phone coverage in Ireland, Luckily we were able to call and the host came and let us into our room. The stairs were a struggle but we knew there were stairs so we were okay."

"Very clean, spacious room with 2 large windows overlooking Main Street, with generous transom windows above that. Staff very kind and helpful. Great food for dinner, and for the free madero order breakfast as well. I only wish the self serve portion could be opened before 8am, or available by request to your room, for those of us checking out early. Great location, huge parking area behind the hotel. Loved it!"
