"There is a stench in the rooms. The hallways were left with bags of garbage. AC worked great. Good hot water and pressure. It looks like it’s an extended stay for the unhoused. Good location. It’s in a mall. I wouldn’t stay again. It was an emergency"
DoubleTree by Hilton Poughkeepsie Convention Center
4/10 Poor
"From the very beginning, I was treated poorly by the front desk staff. I was told multiple times that I could not use my Hilton Honors benefits because I booked my stay through Hotels.com. In other words, bottled water, internet, and free breakfast didn’t apply since I didn’t book directly with Hilton.
The staff continued to remind me that because of the rate I paid, I was essentially out of luck. The irony is that if I had stayed an extra night, my rate through Hilton would have been $150 less than what I paid through Hotels.com. If the hotel has an issue with third‑party bookings, then Hilton should not participate in those platforms.
The hotel itself was nice and clean. However, from a customer‑service standpoint, I would not recommend staying here."
SureStay Plus Hotel by Best Western Highland Poughkeepsie
10/10 Excellent
"The room was fairly priced. The room was really nice. Clean, pretty and comfy. Towels in bathroom were the best I’ve ever had! Water was hot and had great pressure- another plus. Quiet! Breakfast was lovely with hot and cold items. Very enjoyable. Will definitely stay again!"
"It was not as clean as we would have expected. The room was small. There was no table or chairs in the room. The pool wasn't open which was disappointing. The staff seemed to be very friendly."
"Very nicely kept and clean property and very clean room. Bed and pillows were very comfortable.
Only thing I found was, they need new towels.
Staff was very nice and courteous and breakfast was good. More like continental breakfast but they also had freshly made waffles you can make yourself. No pool. Right next door to a great Diner I84.
All and all rating at least 4.5 stars.
Would stay again if necessary."
