Deira is awesome!

Overall, I enjoyed my stay and would recommend to others. However, I specifically booked this hotel for the sauna, which was closed for repairs. Staff were pleasant and accommodating.

I had a great time at the Crown Plaza Deira. The hotel is not far away from the airport. There are many restaurants and shopping places around. The metro station (green line) is less than 10 minutes walk (salaheddine station)

Leisure facility good

Overall the hotel stay was good, it was clean and tidy. Good leisure facilities, breakfast was good and the service was great in the restaurant Check-in was slow, hotel concierge was almost non-existent; had to carry own luggage to reception but receptionist (Avnas) was good who helped to take the luggage to the room. Arranged late check out, thanks to Mariane it was agreed till 6pm but later we had extend to 11pm as their was flight delay, the reception was not prepared to extend so resulted in paying 50% of day rate.

The moment you step into the hotel you love the infrastructure, modern look and service at the reception. The pleasure and expectations of having booked a five star hotel for your family is lost when you step into the room. The room and more specifically the small toilet and bath tub is well below the standard of even a 4 star hotel. The room and amenities are old. Breakfast was more like in a food court. Long delays at egg station, failed coffee machines, soft butter not served in ice and above all difficulty of finding a free table due to very high occupancy. Pool and Gym are OK.

The hotel location is very convenient to use public transportation and roam around the city. The Salah Al Din metro station on the Green Line is a few blocks away from the hotel. I stayed on October 2017 for the first time and now on August 2024. Its location was the key to stay for a second time there. But the hotel needs a lot of TLC care. I notice nothing had changed since. The decoration needs an improvement as well as the hallways and rooms carpet a good shampoo cleaning will do. The bathroom shower walls and under the sink are full of mold, somethings that makes one think twice before to use them. I requested the shampoo dispenser to be refilled three times, but it was never done. Eventhough, there is a sign of no smoking allowed in the room, but the room has a very strong cigarette smoking smell. Frontdesk attention was good at check in and out. Breakfast food. They have a nice variety for you to choose from. Bar service they serve alcohol. The bartender knows how to prepare good drinks , and the food was good as well.
