Check in experience started off bad, I was just handed a room key and told where the elevators were. No mention of which floor I was on, anything about the hotel or the facilities, nor anything about breakfast times and included packages. It was a very poor experience, I was left searching for information.
Once I finally found the room it was no better. First the bathroom door handle was broken so I could not open/close the door. Maintenance was called and they came about an hour later to fix it. After that, we noticed the bathroom sink was also broken, so we had to make another maintenance call for this. The next day I almost slipped in the shower as the shower railings were not attached at all, yet again another maintenance call, then to top it off the toilet holder was broken to we had to leave the toilet paper on the cabinet. Also the balcony light did not work at all.
This is a frankly shocking experience from what is supposedly a 5 star hotel. It felt like anything I touched was prone to break. The rooms were not checked correctly as every day there was a new issue with the room.
When I went to complain about this to the reception desk, the receptionist was quite rude and spoke down to me as if my issue was not worth his time. He also told me he can upgrade my room but it would cost me an additional charge.
The next day we spoke to another receptionist who was more receptive to these issues and offered us a free upgrade. This room had no hot water or working balcony
