"I booked a single room at the Italia. It's in an unprepossing area of Reggio Emilia, and nobody was around when I turned up. I called and ten minutes later somebody let me in. His Italian was very poor, but he tried to communicate that I could have a different room for a couple of hours because somebody was sleeping in my single room. Then I could change. No breakfast is included and there is no coffee machine in the room.
