"The lodge is well located in the Hillcrest area, close to the Main Road with it's shops and restaurants. Bev the hostess was very welcoming and seemed prepared to go out of her way to assist her guests. The breakfast in the morning was varied and good. The room, while on the small side, was adequately furnished with a comfortable bed.
There were a number of small items which detracted from my stay. Single ply toilet rolls in the bathroom, a small and well worn towel and shower in which the...

"We were fine, just plates for microwave too big, no knifes and forks, no spoons if needed in the room, freezer was full of ice blocked, safe key issue, toilet was leaking, had to put towels on floor otherwise all good for better future, management was helpful thank you "

"Stay away from this property! I honestly don’t know how this lodge got its 4 stars. The way this lodge treats its guests is not worth even one star. We were given a shabby room, which clearly used to be a shed before. The parking space is so narrow that a taxi was asked to park within 30 cm from the door opening to our room, which implied that my family had to squeeze themselves through the opening. The management was immediately notified but ignored my wife’s request to move the taxi. Only when...

Shabby not chìc. Dirty, with mould and dust. Nothing wrong with bedding from Sheet Street, but at the prices per night, not worth it. The pillows are mere suggestions of a pillow, thin as anything.
Cockroaches when the sun goes down. One curtain where two is definitely needed, and worn with some holes. I get that everything can't be new all the time, but it can be clean.
The staff clearly don't know about a guest experience. Yes, it was bin day this morning, but at 7am, expect people are sleeping. Instead of wheeling the bin around for 15 mins from place to place, rather take all the trash to the bin? Talking very loudly amongst each other is also not great so early in the morning. Upon check-in, no towels, had to ask. The cleaning lady saunters in and out without even knocking or announcing what she was doing - definitely not replacing towels or toilet paper. Dirty tupperware standing around, empty sugar packets laying around outside since checking in until departure.
The owner has 3 great danes that is then kept inside in the front room, barking at 6am and throughout the day when guests enter and leave.
Not a place I can recommend. Booked two nights, left promptly at 8am after the first night. This place is not habital. Room 5 specifically. Dunno if the others are better"
