"Maybe they were having just a bad day, but I found multiple interactions with staff to be less than positive. They seem to be moping or upset about something. I don’t need them to be over the top gregarious, but it would be nice to be acknowledged as a guest and to be appreciated. Again, maybe it was just a bad day. Also, I felt the rooms were a bit spartan by way of amenities. As an example, would greatly encourage a clock in the room by the bed. Otherwise this location is beyond clean. And the bathrooms were exceptional."
"Overall, I had a great stay at this hotel. The room was clean, comfortable, and very welcoming. One of the best parts was that I was able to bring my pet with me, which made the trip so much easier and more enjoyable.
The cleaning staff did an amazing job during my stay. On the second day, they changed the sheets and towels and kept everything very clean and organized. Their attention to detail was truly appreciated.
The only downside was the breakfast. Unfortunately, there was not much variety. It mainly consisted of muffins and waffles, and I was expecting a few more options available for guests.
Other than that, everything was perfect, and I would definitely stay here again."
"I don't like the fact that you allow kids at this property. They run around unsupervised, going to the pool. The property should be for people 21 and older!!"
" family stayed at the Hilton Chicago/Oak Lawn for four nights, and overall the experience was disappointing. The bathroom door made loud noises every time it opened, and housekeeping failed to clean our room even after I personally requested full service and towels at the front desk before leaving for the day. When we returned after midnight, the trash was still there, the beds were not made, and there were no clean towels.
I called the front desk several times with no answer and had to go downstairs myself, only to find the clerk having a personal conversation and watching TV. While she apologized, it felt very unprofessional.
I was also charged for an $8 bottle of water that we never touched. My husband even said you can buy a 12-pack of water at Walmart for that price. As a Hilton Honors member since 2017 with a Hilton American Express card, I was frustrated by the confusion regarding the “free” water bottles.
To make matters worse, guests were partying loudly until 3:00 AM the night before our early flight, making it impossible to sleep. I expected much better service and professionalism from a Hilton property."
"The location was convenient for us. The room was clean and comfortable. The restaurant had a small menu so we chose to go out instead. It was a nice room with a fair price."
