WaterWalk Extended Stay by Wyndham Boise - Meridian
8/10 Good
"Main management and a few employees are very kind and helpful. Our family was in a studio for a few days. During this time we noticed the employees didn’t like to stay at the front desk. They kept a sign up that says they will be back in a few minutes or dial zero on the phone for immediate assistance. So if you need anything, you constantly had to call them. They were just in the back behind the door hiding out. It just gives the appearance that they’re not real eager to want to help you when they’re not at the front desk greeting you or asking you if there’s anything you might need. Another thing we noticed that we did not care for was how dirty certain parts of the room were. The room itself was absolutely adorable. One thing that we noticed was just walking on the hardwood floors and in about a minute to two minutes your feet would turn black. It was gross. So we tried to keep slippers or socks on. By looking at the floor, it did not look like it was dirty but when you walked on it, it had a film that felt gross and then of course, like I said, your feet would turn black. The maintenance guy came in to try to fix something for us and he even had gotten down on the ground to work and was looking around and mentioned how dirty and dusty it was on the ground and underneath the appliances. As for the amenities, there is no pool or business center. There is a gym and a great outdoor area though. The hotel is located near many stores and eating locations."
"I wish they offered room service at other times than breakfast. Also, I found out after I booked it that I had to pay $30 for valet parking and we were just there one night. Other than that, we enjoyed our stay."
"The Hampton Inn and Suites Boise-Downtown hotel was excellent. We enjoyed our stay. The staff that we interacted with were all extremely nice, pleasant, and helpful. The hotel checked on us via text message throughout our stay which was a nice touch. The breakfast was great and just enough variety for such a hotel. The rooms were clean, very spacious, beyond accommodating and quiet during sleeping hours. The location is perfect. This hotel was my 3rd option on my list of choices, missed out on booking the other two, but this hotel turned out to be above my expectations. Loved it here. "
