"I had a really wonderful time at Tabula Rasa. Felt like the staff couldn’t do enough to ensure my stay was perfect. The location is stunning. It is worth being located up hill in the peace and quiet, and so easy to pop out in a tuk tuk. The food was really good, I expected to eat out more but, I’d often crave the chef’s dhal! I was able to eat really good plant based meals without getting bored of the menu. The chef would come out to chat, and was very keen to ensure I enjoyed the food. All of the staff make you feel part of the family and nothing was too much trouble. They organised a driver for my longer trips, and a tuk driver who was perfect for getting into local towns or the beach. I had a plunge pool room which was worth the extra. Relaxing out there, with an endless view of the jungle, the ocean in the distance, and monkeys leaping from the trees is pure heaven. The monkeys even enjoyed coconuts above my sun lounger one morning. I have no doubt I will return! "

"We had originally booked South Point Cottage but didn’t end up staying there – the owner has a few properties and we were placed at South Point Abbey instead. The Abbey is a gorgeous old colonial villa right on the ocean, with four big bedrooms that could easily fit two families. The walls are built from coral stone, there’s a lovely pool, and you have direct access straight onto the beach. The staff were fantastic – they took care of everything and cooked the most amazing Sri Lankan breakfasts, plus some western dishes for the kids which they loved. The whole place felt calm, spacious and very serene. A special mention to the manager, Gamini – such a kind and gentle man who gave us great tips on what to see and do nearby. We’d definitely recommend this beautiful spot to anyone looking for a relaxing stay."

Our days were blissfully spent lounging in our private pool, enjoying leisurely meals served poolside, and reading in the soothing shade. While we ventured out to explore the local beaches and diving spots, our favorite moments were simply spent soaking in the serene beauty of Kahanda Kanda itself. “Magical moments” is the perfect description of our time here, and we are immensely grateful to the incredible staff who went above and beyond to make our stay truly unforgettable. "Absolutely stunning views, with property leading out onto a gorgeous unspoilt beach. Friendly staff. Loses a mark as on the final day we left our bags on reception where they insisted they would be safe and looked after while we went out for lunch. However we walked back in and got them without anyone checking. Slight security concern they need to look at as lovely place otherwise :)"

"This hotel is one of a kind, the staff is incredible, the views out of this world! The room was honestly my favourite of any place I’ve stayed in all my travels. Clearly next level design and architecture in a very subtle and tasteful way. The spa treatment was wonderful and the cooking class under the banyan tree was magical. I wish I had stayed longer and definitely will next time I am back. I can’t express how fantastic this hotel is thank you for making us feel like home ❤️"
