"I returned to this property because I had a great 1st time experience with my family and loved the pool access room, unfortuntely that wasn’t the case this time around. We arrived before the 3:00 PM check-in time and were told the room was still being cleaned, which I completely understood. However, when we finally received the room, it was missing amenities such as robes, slippers, and extra bedding and the crib I had requested at the time of booking, I had also reminded the receptionist at the time of check in. I later found a slipper under the bed, which made me question how thoroughly the room had been cleaned and inspected and why we had to wait so long. The room was also directly in front of a construction site, resulting in constant dust and noise throughout the day. We paid extra for a room with a private pool, but the construction made it difficult to enjoy. To make matters worse, guests in the neighboring room frequently held late-night gatherings in the private pool, creating excessive noise. Multiple complaints were made to security and the front desk by myself and other guests, but nothing was done. That said, the food was great, the amenities were enjoyable, and most of the staff were friendly. Had it not been for the room assignment and lack of response to the noise complaints, our stay would have been much more enjoyable."

"Beautiful resort, fun activities, great staff. On our first day our room didn’t seem prepared for us, or maybe it was not used in a while. The room had a funky smell, but it was clean. We soon noticed the smell traveled through out the hotel, dining rooms and gift shop (was the worst). I chalked it up that the resort farts, terrible sewage system. It was hard to focus for the first two days. However, day two our room was cleaned and smelled better or maybe I just got used to the stinch. All of my new clothes I didn’t wear had to be washed went I got home because the scent was buried in my clothes. Apart from the resort farts, Riu Republica is a great spot for adult entertainment and fun."
