"Great location-if you are on the water side beautiful view across to the Point and abundant bird life to sit and watch. If you are only the garden view side - go out to the deck and enjoy a happy hour $7 house wine or beer and enjoy the view. Room are large and the garden view ones are renovated. A few negatives no lift so bag need to be carried up a flight of stairs. Only a kettle in the room no toaster or bowls. - Hotel does have a restaurant but there are cafes in the area if you prefer."

"The room was clean and spacious. The view was breathtaking and the walking areas were stunning for nature lovers like me. I his would be the best comfortable stay in Bicheno that you can get The bed was slightly uncomfortable in terms of the price we paid . The advertised penguin viewing is underwhelming and the best viewing areas were cordoned off in the evening leading to 5-6 penguins maximum available for viewing. Ideally , this should be open for resort guests as this is too close to the venue and we have paid premium for the stay . The other operator has a monopoly and we are stuck if we cannot get the booking from that operator"

"We had a sea view twin. Room was small. The hotel has a house rule of no toasters but does have a guest kitchen with toaster, microwave and sandwich maker. The room only has cups. So if you go to the guest kitchen and cook some toast or food you have to stand in the guest kitchen to eat. As the house kitchen rules are you can not remove any item from the kitchen (that would include the plates bowls etc). It would be far better and more convenient for guests to include a toaster and small plates and bowls. One other negative is the unsupervised children running all over the front lawn. As the hotel adjoins a pub. We stayed on a Wednesday night and the children were playing until 9pm so Iโ€™m guessing Friday and Saturday nights would be worse. They were playing directly in front of the unit and calling out to guests in the hotel. Which made it difficult to sit outside to quietly enjoy the sea view. The pub next door has a bistro. We didnโ€™t eat there."

"Unfortunately there was a build up of mould on the shower floor. Breakfast was advertised as being available on the deck from 7.30, wasnโ€™t open. However breakfast was available from the restaurant overlooking the water. We chose to eat in Orford. Indoor pool was used by my partner for her hydrotherapy requirement."
