"Considering the price, we had high hopes for our stay at this house, but unfortunately, we were quite disappointed. Upon arrival, we found the property was not very clean. There was urine left in the upstairs toilet, the downstairs bathroom was dusty with hair around the toilet, and the bath mat had been folded up while still wet. "The property is situated in a great part of Southsea, you can get to the beach relatively quickly and there are plenty of attractions around. The property itself is in need of a spruce up and a thorough deep clean, it feels a bit tired throughout. "Its very close to the coastline, which we made very good use of every day. Staff very helpful especially Shannon, was very informative/helpful and with us using the pool. We used the pool every day. Food was delicious. Our room was very well appointed. The only negative we think is more space needed for the pool table somehow and a mini fridge in every room. Would definitely recommend for couples and families. We will definitely be going back. "

"A lovely hotel, that goes all-in with the railway theme. Although it is a pub-hotel, it has been recently refurbished, with all-electronic access, so nobody can get to the bedroom area unless they are staying there. Half-price food in the pub on Mondays was a pleasant surprise, and the friendly - if slightly quirky - staff were a joy to interact with. The room was comfortable, and the family room we stayed in had a separate bunk-bed area for the child, each bunk having its own light. Parking-wise, you can choose from the station car park, a one-minute walk away, or the free on-street parking on the station one-way system (Only free between 6pm and 9am) I would absolutely stay here again!"
