"Always amazing to stay at the Orient, although noticed front desk reception is totally understaffed. Waited for a long time to check in at 2pm and also waited for close to 5 mins when checking out at 6.30am. Need more staff. Unacceptable for the quality of the hotel. "

"The hotel is in the Arab quarter of Jerusalem, which means that shops and restaurants are open on Fridays and Saturdays. The reception staff are extremely friendly and very helpful. No complaints about the room or condition. Rooftop swimming pool would be great when the weather is warmer. Nearby there is the wonderful Armenia Ceramic Workshop, perfect for gifts. And to eat there is the American Colony and the Jerusalem Hotel, the staff at the latter are lovely. For decent coffee try Nordic Coffee, just up the road towards the American Colony or the Educational Bookshop in the other direction towards the Old City."
