"This is a very rundown old motel that's VERY dated. There was no kitchen service, no food, TVs weren't working, and the pool was freezing. Luckily for me, I only required a one night stay on a motorcycle trip. I won't be going back!"

"Eric was super helpful and we found this campground a delight! So close to Monarch and Salida, this was perfect for our snowboarding trip where we also wanted to enjoy town a bit too!"

"This was our third stay at the Amigo over the last year, and we’ll continue to stay there when our travels take us through Salida. The motel is very clean and comfortable, and we always feel safe there. It is easy walking distance to a great brewery and Mexican restaurant (as well as other places worth going to, like the Salida Museum), but it’s a bit farther to the downtown area. You can definitely walk it, but we tend to drive and park a little closer. Staff members are always friendly and helpful, but do be aware that the front desk is not always staffed, so do pay attention to those check in hours and breakfast hours. The breakfast is a nice grab and go assortment of granola bars, oatmeal, tea, and good coffee. They also have chilled water available (free in the office when it is staffed). The decor is fun and funky and guests tend to be friendly, creating a nice environment. The Amigo will continue to be our first choice of a place to stay in Salida."
"Beautiful cabin like decor interior and exterior, jacuzzi in its own Gazebo which Kathy opened up early for us in the morning Great breakfast sandwiches with lots more to enjoy. Wonderful soft mattress!!! So cozy. Large cozy room with microwave and fridge. No in room or off hour beverages, only at breakfast. Safe area. Clean. Access Arkansas rec area in town 5 minutes away by car. WiFi, good AC! I fully recommend it. Well kept up!!!"
"It's best if you can do stairs, and can walk a little, all the beautiful pools and natural hot spots are spread out on the property. Such a beautiful place! The staff really make you feel welcome."
"WE enjoyed our Stay there. The AC worked. My wife did not like how the bathroom was arranged. the toilet and shower were in one room and the sink and mirror was in another room. I thought it was okay since I could shower while she brushed her teeth and vise versa. I didn't like the shower curtain. The room did have drawer so we did not have to live out of our suitcase. the GWRL was in a good place so we could sight see the Great Sand Dunes NP, or the Royal Gorge Bridge. Overall it was a good stay."
