"My second time staying here, my travel partner’s first. Rooms were beautiful, very tidy, spotless, quiet. Check in was a breeze, and the staff were friendly, efficient and super helpful. The Keyser Inn has become my favorite spot to stay when I am traveling in the Central Appalachians. Economical prices, 5 star amenities. Really quite lovely."

"Great location in the middle of the town and nearby parks. Hotel and room are well maintained and super clean. The only negative are that there's no breakfast room, so you have to take food back to your room. Also, there's a fridge but no microwave in the room. Easy parking."
Light Horse Inn

"The Inn was a pleasant place to stay. Not too far from what we wanted to do and see. Take a right from the Inn’s parking lot behind the building and you’ll run right into the NPS visitor center where continuous shuttles run every 15 minutes to the lower part of town. Hard to park there so the shuttle was best for us. The morning breakfast freshly cooked and coffee or tea was perfect to start the day off before the mild to strenuous hilly hikes in old town and by the river. Walk up and down the cobble streets, and through some of the establishments to a higher road (like Coach House Bar & Grill). The best part was the steep hike up the rock steps to St. Peter’s Church. It overlooks the town, railroad station, rivers and NP. Go all the way up past the ruins to Jefferson Rock. Amazing. Just a lot to do and see from the Inns central location. Even went to karaoke on Tuesday night. The bed was nice, the sitting chair not so nice. Shower great, sink faucet in our room for hot water a mere trickle. Said they take care of it. Bring a small radio, no tv. iPhone music and my headset came in handy."

"My hubby and I enjoyed our stay at Woodland House at Coolfont--the bed was comfortable and the setting in the woods was a delight. Everyone was friendly and helpful, and they dealt with a problem we had right away. Our servers at the restaurant were very nice, and the lunch we had our first day was fresh and delicious. Unfortunately, the breakfast wasn't as well done (our eggs were overcooked and the bacon was floppy). And at dinner, I ordered a drink from the bar which was so long in coming that I canceled it, still not started, after I had already begun eating my dinner. The new Lodge building is beautiful."
