"Arrived late at our stay and then realised that we had in fact booked for the weekend after! Disaster after a 6 hour drive and very little options. We apologised and explained the error to our host. Amazingly and also luckily the host immediately went to work setting up an alternative glamping pod for us to stay in. The place was immaculate, hosts are extremely friendly and everything about the trip was perfect and as described. We will certainly be returning."

"The cottage is a bit tired but well equiped, clean and comfortable. The instructions to find the key were terrible! it says get them from a key safe padlocked to the front railings at the front of the house and they were at the back, attached to the house. "Loved our stay. The self-catering accommodation was extremely clean and beds very comfortable. Kitchen was well equipped. The bar area we attended in the evenings was a little tired and could have done with a refurb. The entertainment was a bit basic but kids enjoyed it. The location was a bit remote but we enjoyed exploring the area and it was very quiet at night."

"The hotel is well overdue for a makeover, the staff, however, are excellent, although they forgot to service our room on a 2 night stay. The room was extremely disappointing, being both small & very, very scruffy. The position of the hotel is absolutely perfect for exploring Ilfracombe, if staying again will book direct with the hotel and ask for specific rooms, in all a very enjoyable visit, apart from the accommodation, the breakfast was excellent!
