Perfect location for Fringe but ridiculously expensive at this time. 4 foot bed is cosy for two adults.

Quite far from the city centre, great staff, but the rooms need an update. I have never slept in such a horrible bed, it was old and really really uncomfortable. Besides that, great value for the price we paid.

Good value, clean accommodation.

Could not fault this accommodation. Very friendly and helpful staff available twenty four hours to answer any queries or help with directions re bus service etc. The room was spotless, the en-suite bathroom with shower was also very clean and modern. The only drawback was the bed size as it was a double and my husband is quite big. There are two supermarkets a few minutes away pubs and restaurants are at the top of the main road where there is a choice of buses to the centre.

A bit noisy, depends on the other guests, but the area is quiet. There are lidl and tesco nearby. This place doesn't provide any goods like coffee, tea but you can find some basic kitchenware. The room was clean and tidy, huge office desk donthe job! In this price there is no better option!

The room was clean and well organised,really quiet,and close to supermarket (lidl and asda), AT 15min from the city Center with bus stop close by. There was a private kitchen for 5 rooms which was really handy. We had access to a laundry that was cheap and it was very useful. Only negative point: the absence of television in the room.

Very uncomfortable bed

The bed was very uncomfortable and small, smaller than a standard double. Only one very flat pillow each. We were only able to get one extra pillow between the two of us. The room was small, dark and always too warm, even with the window open all night, a very uncomfortable sleep. Stained towels. Upside great location and staff were really nice.

Edinburgh Weekend Trip

3 day stay to visit my daughter. Just needed a place to sleep at night. Basic student room. Spotlessly clean.Communal sitting area / kitchen with everything needed to self cater. No TV. Previous reviews mentioned poor insulation / noise but maybe I was just lucky as I had no issues. Parking on street outside permitted between 5.30 pm and 8.30 am. Would definitely stay again.(Assume only available outwith Uni term time.) Good Price for Edinburgh where >£200 per night is the norm.

Terrible comfort.

Would not recommend this accommodation, and I’m not that picky! Advertised as a double bed, it was not a full double - perhaps a slim double or enlarged single. My partner and I just about managed. The mattress was the worst I’ve ever encountered, the pillows were worse than useless and the fridge contained rotten bananas. The staff at the front desk were helpful and supplied extra pillows, but even then. It is cheap, somewhat cheerful but woefully uncomfortable.

Very uncomfortable, hard bed!!

Very basic, simple accommodation. The bed was advertised as a double. It was not. I’d call it a large single, or a small double, but certainly not a standard double. It was extremely hard and uncomfortable. I did not get one good nights sleep whilst there. I complained to reception who said they’d add an extra duvet under bottom sheet. This never happened. The ensuite was very small. The shower cubicle was tiny, which made showering hard. The shower head didn’t fit on holder properly, which was also an issue. On a positive note, water was always hot, and very powerful. The room was quiet, apart from when neighbouring rooms got back, which is to be expected. Location was decent enough, with buses into the centre only a short walk away.

Very nice place to stay, not to far from the center but reasonably quiet. No possibility to keep luggage after check out, which generally is a nice facility if you need to visit longer at your last day.

La struttura è ovviamente pensata per gli studenti ma se ci ferma per qualche giorno è una soluzione turistica valida e più economica di altre. Il parcheggio disponibile in zona è scarso ma i trasporti pubblici sono comodi.

save yourself and stay somewhere else

So dirty.. and the receptionist read us (two young female travelers) the exact details of where our room was including the floor and number in front of a number of other travelers, which felt very unsafe. Marketed luggage storage but informed us AFTER we checked out that they cannot store luggage after checkout, directed us to a storage service we had to pay for. Super loud area as well, which didn’t bother us but is something to note.

It was expensive for what it was and the distance from the town.The mattress on the bed was horrendous and could possibility do to be replaced however the girl on reception was very helpful when we needed a taxi or directons we definitely wont be staying again.

Great little nest in Edinburgh!

What we liked best about this place was two-fold: First, we like the big, full kitchen we shared with the other 4 rooms in the flat. We also appreciated the promptness they dealt with any issues we had (the window was broken and wouldn't close, so they changed us to a different room). This place is a dorm, and a dorm is a dorm, but the bed was comfortable, they were generous with extra pillows, and as I said, the kitchen was great.
