Good hotel, clean and affordable.
Good staff, kind and respectful.
Freshly cooked breakfast with self service. Items such as Haggis, Eggs and so on refreshed or renewed constantly and reasonably quickly. A good variety. Parking is easy and they even have EV charge points. Staff are very helpful and polite. The room was clean and made up daily.
I have stayed here a number of times and wouldn't hesitate to go back. Comfortable rooms and friendly staff. Many of the rooms have stunning views over Edinburgh.
Excellent staff. Clean room. No elevator which may be an issue for some.

The staff were very pleasant. The room was clean and we had a nicely cooked breakfast. However the shower had very low flow of water which was cold, as was the sink, which detracted from our stay.
The hotel is in a lovely building, but the decor in our room was odd and dated - it needed a bit of tlc and updating in our opinion. Lovely views of the city and beyond. We wish the blinds/curtains had been black out, as it got quite light in the morning. The big light in our room flickered a lot, so we couldn’t use it. Free parking was great. The room was cleaned each day and had basic amenities - kettle with tea and coffee, ironing board and a safe in the wardrobe.
Really lovely stay. the beds were very comfortable and great shower. the staff were super helpful and friendly. the hotel was great location to city centre and bus stop was right outside. would definitely stay again due to the affordability.

Staff friendly. Room basic and in need of being refurbished but was clean
Breakfast rather limited in selection. Eggs and bacon both very oily. Sausages were good though.
Convenient location close to bus routes and free parking.
Overall a solid 3 star hotel which was good value .
The hotel was lovely and quaint, a lot of stairs to navigate on route to our room on 1st floor!
All the staff we encountered during our stay were exceptionally friendly, our room was spotless with nice toiletries, breakfast was lovely with plenty of choices!

The hotel decor and facilities are a bit tired but the staff are friendly and efficient. Breakfast was super. Free parking was a bonus
Receptionist was charming, chatty and helpful despite it being 9pm when we arrived. Attention to the decor in the corridors plus the festive additions made the hotel seem very welcoming. Breakfast was plentiful, varied, tasty and unhurried.
Staff was super helpful. There is a bus stop right below the hotel which made it so convenient to go to the city.

Absolutely brilliant for our 2 day short break , celebrating my boyfriend’s birthday we were offered an upgrade and the room was beautiful .
comfortable bed and lovely views , staff were amazing and very helpful . we will definitely be back! thankyou again for this stay !
This hotel is a cosy, well staffed, friendly space, within walking distance of Edinburgh town, along a bustling street of many many cafe’s, restaurants & eclectic shops & boutique’s.
This hotel was perfect for our visit to Edinburgh, room was very warm, clean, bed was comfortable. The breakfast was very good, with plenty of choice. The hotel had a bus stop down some steps that took you into Edinburgh, the buses were very regular. We enjoyed our stay immensely and will return.

The was very clean but as with all older hotels a little wear and tear is to be expected. The staff were all very friendly and nothing was too much trouble. Even Magnus the hotel cat was very friendly!
