I booked the place for my family mini getaway. They were very happy with the location, the apartment is big. Tesco just across the road and most important, they felt safe.

We liked the location close to Royal Mile and Arthur's Seat also the apartment was roomy. But the property wasn't maintained well, the bathroom sink was cracked, and some leak of water in the hallway. In general, the building wasn't in a good condition.

Appreciating accomodation is pricey this stay did not present value for money with little positives and can’t be recommended. Be prepared for showering on your knees in a bath because of poor water pressure, flushing the toilet with a bucket when it stopped working, average cooking facilities and a check in no earlier than 4pm. Recommend you look elsewhere…….

Pleasant place but facilities not up to standard

The shower and toilet flushing are concerned. Water flow is slow and little, therefore taking bath was timely and uncomfortable. Also the toilet flush is difficult to use, the old type handle is jammed and hard to turn

When we arrived we couldn’t get in as someone was already in the property. Spoke to Nicki who sorted it quickly and even took the time to bring us an extra towel. The property is conveniently located but is in need of some TLC. Not much to sort it out. The shower is terrible either too hot or too cold

TERRIBLE PLACE, would give it a negative star if i could.. Unit was absolutely filthy… towels and sheets were dirty and smelled musty. Heat took a day to fully heat up the house. No clear checkin instructions. Looked nothing like the pictures and the bathroom toilet and sink were cracked/chipped. Extremely disappointed especially since it wasnt cheap. Also the host clearly gave others the code to our lockbock because i saw someone open it on my way out of the apt, luckily we did not leave our keys in the lockbox. Do not stay here.

No fitted sheet. Towel has red stain. Couch cushion has a hole. Wet spot outside the bathroom. The kettle has leakage. Nice location for the palace, but you need to take taxi to go back to the train station as it is the lower area. Difficult to take buses. You have the climb up the hill for ten minutes to reach bus stop. Very unfriendly staff and difficult to reach. It does not let me to early check in even though I am willing to pay more. Very confusion check-in instruction.

Hyvä sijainti ajatellen keskeisiä nähtävyyksiä ja ruokapaikkoja. Mukavat ja lämpimät peitot. Majoittaja ystävällisesti reagoi ja laittoi oikean määrän vuoteita, koska ilmeisesti tieto ei ollut mennyt majoittuvien määrästä oikein. Huonoa sen sijaan oli rikkinäinen ikkunan sulkija ja puutteelliset ohjeet miten toimia sen kanssa. Samoin WC :n vetäminen oli haastavaa. Ensin luulimme ettei se toimi ollenkaan, majoittaja ohjeisti asiassa kun tästä ilmoitimme. Samoin huomautuksen voisi antaa ruuantekovälineistä, ne oli vanhoja naarmuilla , erityisesti paistinpannu. Samoin yksi keittiön laatikko oli ruuvattu kiinni, mutta se ei pysynyt niillä ruuveilla kiinni.

Cuando estábamos en el apartamento la dueña llegó y abrió con sus propias llaves para dejar sábanas para los siguientes inquilinos. Según entiendo, yo estoy rentando la propiedad y NADIE puede entrar. Considero que es una invasión a mi privacidad. Por otra parte, el baño muy viejo y sin regadera, solo con una pequeña regadera de teléfono con muy poca presión. La bañera resbalosa y sin tapete ni nada que prevenga una caída. En fin, no fue una buena experiencia.

Bon compris pour un séjour à Édimbourg.

Appartement très bien situé à quelques minutes à pieds du centre ville. 2 lits doubles et 2 canapés. Une supérette juste en face. Cuisine propre et fonctionnelle.Résidence sécurisée. 2 ème étage sans ascenseur. Problème de pression d'eau dans la salle de bain et quelques travaux de rafraichissement nécessaires pour rendre l'appartement encore plus agréable.

J’ai réservé pour 4 adultes mais il n’y a qu’un vrai lit pour 2 , dans le salon une banquette qui fait aussi office de lit 1 place et un tout petit canapé non convertible . Du coup j’ai dormis par terre . Appartement très froid et très compliqué à chauffer , le chauffage ne fonction pas ni dans la salle de bains ni dans le couloir . Côté cuisine pas de table pour pouvoir manger et seulement 2 chaises hautes avec une petite tablette contre un mur .appartement vétuste je Suis très très déçu

No voy a mencionar lo que no funciona como debería porque no soy quejica en ese aspecto, pero si tengo contratado el desayuno que deben dejarlo en la nevera, no hay nada, mando un mensaje al alojamiento y no contesta. Total, cinco noches, dos personas, diez desayunos pagados y no consumidos. No tiene justificación.

Unusable booking

We landed very early in the morning of Sept 4. I had emailed the owner about early check in and understood from hisxwife that this would be arrange-able. However, when we arrived at the building, there was no early check-in arrangements accepted and it was difficult to contact him. When he did reply, I was told check-in was 4 pm so we made a booking at a hotel in the downtown area. I have no idea was the accommodations are like at the apartments.

Great location and comfortable stay

This apartment was in a good location close to the train station ( probably the best way to visit Edinburgh as this does not come with a parking space ). It is clear that the owners are making an effort to improve the cosmetic appearance of this flat and to be fair is not bad for the price ( you can always find faults if that is what you focus on looking for).

A shame

The apartment was lovely and warm with endless hot water. Unfortunately it is not very equipped for being a self catering apartment. Lack of kitchen utensils not even a dish cloth to dry dishes. The bathroom was a bit of a disaster with the sink got major cracks in it and so did the bath. To have a shower you had to turn it on at the switch outside the bathroom and turn it off when leaving as the switch on the shower was broken. To have a shower you had to hold the shower head up with your arm so it was possible. With a bit of TLC this could be an amazing apartment.

Bastante mediocre

Apartamento completo para una pareja con 1 o 1niño +1bebé pequeños, bien ubicado pero con un baño que necesita una reparación/reforma urgente. No tiene ascensor, estábamos en el segundo piso. Buena calefacción. Armarios salón y dormitorio desvencijados.

Apartment was ok for what you pay for it, the two single beds that are advertised are a day bed and fold away bed in the living room. Big telly, but didn’t work, kept saying no Ariel connection, quite shabby in places, carpet, bath, sofas, but for somewhere cheap to lay your head for the night, was ok.

Did get the check instruction until late night before the day of check in. When we showed up to the room, it wasn't like we saw on the pictures. It looked old and uncomfortable. Heating doesn't work. Do not book with them.

Niente doccia per 4 giorni!

Siamo arrivate all'appartamento e non c'era nessuno ad accoglierci, abbiamo telefonato per tutto il pomeriggio!!! siamo rimaste fuori al freddo oltre 3 ore, poi ci siamo messe in contatto con expedia che ci ha spiegato come aprire la porta. In casa non andavano i riscaldamenti (fuori nevicava), il bagno aveva una vasca da bagno con una doccia dalla quale non usciva acqua, quella poca che usciva solamente ad una determinata altezza (ci dovevamo lavare in ginocchio perchè alzando il ciuffo nulla più usciva)! sporco molto sporco l'appartamento. La proprietaria non ci ha mai contattate neppure dopo aver ricevuto così tante chiamate. un esperienza da non ripetere! inoltre avevamo prenotato per 3 persone ma c'è un solo letto nell'appartamento (da una piazza e mezza neanche 2), nessun divano letto in soggiorno come invece scritto nelle recensioni solo una branda vecchia e scomodissima, quindi abbiamo dovuto dormire in condizioni disumane in 3 in un aletto da una piazza e mezza per 3 lunghe notti.

Great location - and better than a room in a hotel

Great location for central Edinburgh. Stayed for three nights nd have stayed before. Good general facilities but no shower (tube shower attached to taps over bath don’t really work). Good value for an apartment with the self catering facilities compared to a hotel room.

This is not a hotel, just a terrible apartment

This is an apartment rented by somebody. There is no one to recieve you or your bags. The aparment is in an apartment building being renovated on the third floor. The person who rent it just answer the phone and tell you to come back later. Edinburgh is a very difficult city tonvisit carrying your bags with you. I can not understand why Expedia rents apartments. We ended up renting a room in a real hotel.
