"The staff were all very friendly and helpful. I loved the small intimate feel of the hotel itself. The outdoor spaces were nice and comfortable with different options to choose from. We had a great fresh breakfast every morning to start our day. We would definitely stay again. "

"One night. Realised family hotel after getting there. But inckuded dinner and breakfast. Not really great though. Had to move rooms could hearvthe bowling alley in our room. The pools and saunas were nice. "

"This hotel is beautiful both outside and inside. It is too far to walk to town center, but it only takes several min drive to get to the town center if you have a car. Free parking outside of the yard of the hotels. The only two disadvantages are not able to use wifi inside the room (but wifi in the breakfast room works fine) and no electric hot water kettle available. If the WIFI works fine inside the hotel room, definite I will return to stay in this hotel in the future."

"It was built in the 1830s, as I recall. It is very pretty. Huge garden. Beautiful stained glass windows. An interesting walking path or two. We had a large balcony that was very nice. We were there on night so we did not get to take advantage of everything. I would recommend at least two nights if you want to take advantage of everything available. "

"The property is definitely remote. The road to get there is pretty rough. The property is nice, food is good but for western English speaking travelers the customer service is noticeably poor and understood english is kind of one guy."

"The hotel is great. The spa is very nice. The inly problem is that most of the elevators were out of order during our stay."

"Pros: The property is close to the centre of Màtrafüred, where the restaurants are, and it is also close to the hiking trails. It has a pool (though it is a bit dated) a kitchen and dining area for guests to use, as well as a sauna and a nice back garden in the woods. Staff were extremely helpful and accommodating and the room was clean. Cons: The property is right next to the main road, so if you have a room that faces that side, it is very noisy. I could hear the traffic even through my earplugs. It was very umpleasant as i was expecting a nice peaceful stay in Màtra. The rooms have soundproofed doors, but the walls are very thin. I could even hear my neighbours talking! My (double) room had a tiny bathroom, i don't think a larger person would have been able to move around in it or even sit on the toilet properly. The reception was not always manned, so guests had to call to get someone over to check them in, open the pool, etc etc."
