"Absolutely โ Iโd keep your tone straightforward and fair, while making the review flow a little more naturally: This hotel served my needs well as a basic place to stay. The location makes it an excellent and affordable alternative to staying in central Amsterdam, where a comparable hotel could easily cost three times as much. Itโs conveniently located about midway between the airport and the city center, and the hotel is only about a one-minute walk from Sloterdijk station. The room was no-frills but comfortable, and the included breakfast was fine. Overall, it was a good value for the price. I had two complaints. First, there was no mini-fridge in the room, which I was surprised by as I consider that fairly standard these days. More importantly, the room temperature was an issue. It never managed to get above 19ยฐC (about 66ยฐF), and the thermostat kept shutting itself off. For me, the room was simply too cold. Despite those issues, the convenient location and reasonable price make this a good option for a short stay if youโre looking for something practical rather than luxurious."

"Overall I enjoyed my stay at Mercure Hotel Amsterdam Sloterdijk Station. The hotel was close to the train station which meant it was easy to get out and about. The room I stayed in was very spacious with ample room to move about. The bathroom was also larger than expected. The only minor dissatisfaction with the room was I could see the Girl with the Pearl Earring painting in the room had what looked like some liquid streak on it which you could see at an angle, as well as some liquid streaks on the door that opened up the area for where the kettle is. One thing of note to anyone looking to stay at this particular hotel. There are major roadworks going on in front of the hotel which means the access to the train station is to go around the roadworks which isn't a lot more walking but still a detour to direct access. Whilst we were there which was over the weekend and a couple of days into the week there wasn't any actual work so there was not any noise disturbance. However, I can imagine that being an issue for hotel guests when work is going on outside the hotel."
