"The hotel is in a very tranquil, country setting but not far from Bilbao. It is an old house that has been beautifully restored in a rustic manner. The lady, who seemed to do everything, was very kind and helpful. My room was clean and comfortable with a very modern shower. The evening meal and breakfast were plentiful and good quality. The only negative thing was that there was no lift and the stairs were quite steep."

"Second stay here on our journey back to UK from Portugal. Great place, clean, comfortable and the owner is a gentleman. Local restaurant was closed this time of year, which was a shame as it’s really good food and good value but the owner pointed us to a place about 9 km away and the food was good and dogs were welcome. "A bit too basic for us. We felt a rug to get out of bed onto would have been an improvement, rather than a tiled floor. The room was warm but small. The emergency lighting fitting was on the wall high up at the foot of the bed, and was aluminated all night bright green, filling the room with green light, annoying in the extreme. Ate in the restaurant which was good."
