"Well it took forever to get checked in at 3:00 pm. The room was clean but we didn’t have enough towels for the 4 people staying in the room. If it wasn’t for the location being right across for the pier I would have giving it a 2 star rating."

"The property is beautiful and the staff is wonderful😊 We loved the landscaping and the clean well appointed room. We had been in contact with the motel many times- and they did give us an upstairs room- however the only choice was a room with no view on the road- very noisy😳 We understand it is first come first serve- but we had booked 2 months before arrival and called twice before we arrived and hoped for a quiet room- so many lovely rooms facing courtyards! Never the less - It was a good value and clean and comfortable and a good value🥰 II appreciate the professional and understanding staff."

The Dana on Mission Bay
"The hotel has beautiful grounds and our room did not disappoint. Everything is luxurious. We had the junior suite king bed, bay view. We had a patio that opened up on the grass with a beautiful view of the bay. Plus we could see the Marina to the right. Our room was amazing. We used room service for 2 days of meals and on our last night we went to the Firefly Eatery and Bar. We sat outside for my husband’s 75th birthday. We had a fire pit at our table. Which made it more intimate. The view from the eatery outside was beautiful. They had lights that wrapped around the dining area and the trees were lit up too. You could see the bay as well. Dinner was scrumptious. I had the steak, my husband had the Sonoran chicken. So delicious . The chocolate lava cake and ice cream was to die for. The walks along the bay were lovely, as was walking along the marina and the hote grounds which are beautifully landscaped. The bed in our room was so comfortable we both slept well. It was very quiet there and we enjoyed seeing the boats going in and out of the marina. There are bicycles to rent and see dos and kayaks as well. Sea World is 5 minutes away as is the boardwalk. Everything you'd need is very close. The staff is helpful and friendly. We even made a few purchases at the gift shop. We went to the beach and boardwalk and everything is so close but when at the Dana you feel like you are in your own world. We cannot wait to plan our next trip there. We give it 5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️"
