This is a beautiful property with a stunning, small beach and views of the ocean. There really isn’t anything around the property worth seeing but it was an incredibly relaxing 48 hours in the middle of our busy trip to Spain. We enjoyed playing in the ocean and sitting on our rooftop deck.

Good value for money - disappointed in gym

The apartment was great, we had an apartment with a roof top terrace. Kitchen was well equipped and overall clean. Nice access to the beach and pool area also ok. The downside was the gym, horrible, so if you look for a resort where you can workout forget it. It would have been a terrific experience overall if the gym would have been up to some standard at least.

This is our second stay here at Dormio and we really loved our apartment even more this time. Its position overlooking the sea and size of the terrace was excellent.

The appartments here are lovely, clean and very spacious. Not much to do in the area (but it is October/out of season). Very hilly but very walkable roads etc. Tram station about 10 mins walk. Local bus outside the resort too. Approx 30 mins tram to Benidorm. Trams are always on time and no issues at all. Lovely views of the sea

My favourite hotel so far. So many places to sunbathe in different areas.. the apartment was spotless and huge.. perfect location too. The only thing I can really think that it needs is maybe some tea and coffee in the room as you get the kettle and a coffee maker, and maybe a later check out time 10am is very early but those are the only things I can think of.

The fire alarm went on in + 30 mins, late evnings (ithappend twice) but without any reaction from either staff, fire department, all guests was just waiting outside!! The WIFI is very poor!!! The hotel is fantastic condition, and the restaurant (NUZZA) is totally fantastic :-)

A wonderful stay! Visited for a short break with my children (5 & 9 years old) and highly recommend. A small, clean, quiet resort with a lovely beach. The pool area and kids club were great, with a special mention to the entertainment team who were brilliant - super friendly and enthusiastic. 2 restaurants, one of which was always open for food or drinks at all times. The area itself is quite remote so plan to travel for a better equipped shop as the shop on site, while great for emergencies, isn't stocked substantially. 5 mins walk to the tram station with easy access to Alicante, Benidorm and everywhere in between.

Apartments for everyone

We absolutely loved our stay at Dormio. Lovely location and great sized apartments, suitable for all ages and families. We had a problem checking in and this took over 2 hours for us to receive a code to access our apartment. I just think it would be ideal for there to be a member of the team from Dormio to be on reception until at least midnight. Due to the size of the property. Everything else was perfect. The lady on reception was so helpful and granted us a late check out. We didn’t ask, however, kind and thoughtful. We would definitely go back.

1 week with the family

25 min from Alicante airport and 25 min to Benidorm. Great view, very good rooms, clean, good internet connection. No microwave but there is a stove. They have garage but you can parc outside and save some money. One small shop within the hotel. Otherwise, no shops around. You need a car to be able to get around. There is a small beach as well. Yes, I would go there again.

Not what I expected

The apartments are clean & quite comfortable & the resort itself is fine. The restaurant is very good with friendly & helpful staff. The bar is ok. The shop is not great & the gym is a disgrace, really poor. The beach was dirty, it’s a public beach but the resort could sweep it of litter easily & it would be much better. Reception had one very helpful man but the rest were uncooperative. One woman was just plain rude. Pools are ok but the block C “exclusive” pool is tiny & not exclusive. The website promises more than it delivers.

We had an amazing holiday at the resort. Our flight landed in the evening so check in was no issue for us. The apartment was lovely spacious and clean. The sea view from the terrace was beautiful and the beach is next to the resort and our kids loved it. We also explored the beaches around the area and they all were so beautiful and lots of activities like parasailing/water inflatables/boat trips etc. My kids experienced was made so much more special because of Miguel,Georgio and Marisa - in the kids club they were so entertaining and did lots of activities with the kids, especially the dancing by the pool and meeting the mascot Mio! My kids will miss you guys so much - thank you for all the love! We paid for breakfast at the bar they have there and found it nice, there could be more variety offered for the breakfast buffet though. There is also a restaurant on site but we didn’t get to try it - next time! Underground Parking is offered at a price and we used this as we had a hire car. The only negative or constructive criticism I have is the reception staff could smile and be a bit more pleasant and friendly as they are the face of the resort.

Lovely looking resort in a beautiful location, actual apartment was a little disappointing - we arrived to an apartment that was like an oven and it took 12 hours to cool The air conditioning was noisy - it would wake you up as and when it clicks on The dancing around the pool was something reminiscent of a Benidorm themed event which would put me off staying again / it seemed to be a daily thing…. The beach restaurant was pointless as it’s always empty but apparently booked for weeks - the small cafe on site was pleasant enough Having to pay for parking irked me when your paying 400 euros a night for an average apartment t The staff where lovely and for a 3 star resort it’s just about okay It’s fair to say I won’t be back

I took my Mum to the Dormio Spa & Resort for her 60th Birthday treat with the plan to spend the entire day in the spa using the facilities listed ( Gym, sauna, steam, rain experience showers & jets in the pool) & book a massage. When we arrived I was advised that the masseuse only works 2 days & these are mid-week, making this not an option. If this was available, a massage was a steep 100 euro. The facilities were 'open' so we used the gym which had no useable lockers, the steam room was not on & smelt of damp, the sauna was also not on, the large showers did not turn on, the jets in the pool did not turn on. This meant our 'day in the spa' was now 30 mins in a very minimal gym & a dip in a pool. There were no spa staff members mannig the zone to help with any of this. The apartment was clean & the view was lovely but the general facilities were quite lacking, there was no drinking water int he room & nowhere to buy any from after 3pm. The shower head collapsed onto us every time it was used. There's 1 lovely restaurant on site & nothing else for miles in either direction making it limiting for choice. It has potential to be a lovely place but we were very disappointed with the false description of this stay, these are just apartments, not a 'spa resort'

Pros: Overall good value. Easy beach access. Great ocean views. The resort was clean and well maintained. Very spacious penthouse apartment. The kids club (although humble) was nice. The two employees working there did a good job. In fact, customer service was good everywhere at the resort. The restaurant is a bit pricy, but good food at a convenient location. Cons: Not close to nearby shopping/attractions/etc. You’ll need a rental car. The distance to shopping is compounded by the fact that the resort’s shoppette is terribly limited and overpriced. Also, the pool area is small for how big the resort is. The pool is located such that it only looks out to the resort. Thus, no poolside views to speak of despite the resort being surrounded by beautiful natural scenery. Next, they don’t honestly have a gym/fitness center. It’s essentially a closet with a couple machines. Looking back on all my travels in my life, it’s the worst hotel gym I’ve ever seen. Finally, the apartment had some quirks. The most notable one is that our balcony door (which leads to an upstairs patio) only opened from the inside. If people were upstairs on the penthouse patio, and someone inside the apartment closed the door, the people upstairs would be stuck up there until someone inside the apartment opened the door again. Not an ideal set up, especially since the doors have to be closed for the air conditioning to turn on. The good definitely outweighs the bad, but there is room for improvement.
