"The Inn is a nice older property in a great location in Taos, but it is in need of TLC. Our room itself was fine, but top came off one small table and the shower was designed in such a way that we soaked the mat each time.
More importantly, our reception at the hotel was lukewarm; my call to the front desk to request help with the TV went unanswered; and, on my subsequent trip to the front desk, I was told that they didn't know how to work the new TV system.
As for amenities, rooms in a hot environment like Taos could really use a fridge and ours did not have one.
All this said, there is a real historic charm to the property, as well as the restaurant and bar on site. Over the weekend, with live music in the lobby/bar, people were having a great time. We'll do some checking ahead before staying here again, but would certainly consider a future stay."
"The location was not right in the center of town. Also our keys would work one time and we had to get new ones. Thankfully our stay was for only 2 nights or that would have been a pain! The good- the on-site cantina!"
"The motor lodge style hotel has been recently renovated with nice new finishes. The beds were comfortable - a bit high off the ground. We had dinner in the Lodge bar and restaurant - delicious Indian food prepared by a female Indian chef. The chutneys were amazing! We arrived a bit late - the restaurant was closing in about. 20 minutes. The staff was so friendly and accommodating- we didn't feel rushed. Nice selection of ales on tap and wine. This was a great stay for the price - highly recommend."
"Our stay was perfect! The location of the hotel was outstanding and we could walk to most restaurants and shops. They have an outstanding breakfast selection with coffee, juices, hot chocolate, etc. and offer cookies at snack time and chips and salsa in the evening. Fantastic! They offer corn hole and a beautiful garden area with the softest grass I’ve ever seen! Perfect for our pup.
Antonia was helpful and accommodating getting us checked in and helping us switch to a larger room after adding an additional night to our stay. Catherine was an absolute gem helping us w restaurant recommendations and making sure we were comfortable throughout our 3 night stay. Hotel staff can really make or break your stay no matter how many stars a place has and El Pueblo Lodge has some of the friendliest loveliest people. From the kitchen to the housekeeping to the front desk to the groundskeepers, everyone was wonderful!
Just a few minutes from Taos Pueblo, Imagine Children’s museum (FREE), and 30 minutes from New Mexico River Adventures. It was very convenient and I would recommend all of these places if traveling with younger kids.
We would 100% stay here again and recommend to anyone looking for a hotel in Taos!"
"Very nice rooms. Newly re-done. Very nice bed and linens. There was a kuerig coffeemaker with excellent dark roast coffee!!! Never see that. Great room for a reasonable price. Would stay there again."
