When I made my reservation, I was supposed to be on the main floor. They put me up on the second floor. Thank you for the breakfast, but the food was not that good eggs are dry and sausage taste terrible. Had pancakes and orange juice.

Gem of a hotel
Always a comfortable stay. Clean, comfortable beds, and great breakfast. This is where I always stay when in Emmetsburg Iowa.

Brookstone suites not very customer friendly
Called the motel after seeing offers on line, to see if I could get a better deal because we were getting 6 rooms and was told no they couldn't accept the do better than what was offered. Went back on line and the motel removed those advertised rooms. Wound up paying over $40 a night more than the online price. That's underhanded.

Hi John, thank you for the review. Unfortunately, when reservations are booked through a 3rd party there may be some extra fees that occur from the 3rd party not the hotel. Sometimes the hotel can offer a certain discount that the 3rd party site can not honor. We apologize for the inconvenience.

The hotel was nice and quiet and clean. The breakfast was above average. Only real complaint might be that the drain in the shower was slow. Also, why the heck don't they put more grab bars in the showers? It would certainly make life easier as one gets older.

There was a used soap on the rail of the shower and a razor cover in the drain of the shower as well as some paper on the floor. No new soap. One toilet paper was empty. Only one wash cloth. They came and cleaned the bathroom apologizing. Otherwise ok stay.

Great Value for the Price!
Very clean. We really enjoyed the clean pool. Breakfast was better than the standard. Only complaint was the pillows were too soft. We would stay here again, great value for the price.

Front desk person was wonderful! Nice rooms. I didn't like that they were understaffed in the morning, only one person running front desk, breakfast room and pool couldn't be opened because of understaff.

When I visit family in northwest Iowa, this is the hotel where I stay. It’s a newer hotel in the area and is clean and well-kept. The beds are comfortable and the bathroom was large compared to similar hotels. We had plenty of towels as well. Reasonably priced, clean, and comfortable.

Overall it is an ok Hotel. The beds are comfortable and the room was in good condition. Had two issues with the Hotel. The heating and cooling unit was impossible to get a good temperature in the room. It was either too got or cold. The worst part was the breakfast.the first morning they had no milk or cereal. The eggs and sausages had been reheated mutable times. The eggs were dry and crusty the sausage was hard and dry. The water had no ice and had to be leftover from the morning before. So not a bad place to stay but skip the breakfast.

Very nice
Super clean and comfortable, including rocking recliner. Great breakfast. Although I didn't need or utilize, they have an evening bar and also a small conference room. Only thing is that there was no hairdryer in the room. Wish the clerk would have informed me of this when checking in, that due to all the thefts, you have to check them out.
