The Lodge at Spruce Peak, a Destination by Hyatt Residence
6/10 Okay
"The Lodge is very convenient for skiing, located at the base of the mountains next to the lifts. I stayed there in mid-March during many schools' spring break, and the hotel was very busy with lots of families. All of the staff that I met were friendly and helpful. I dined twice at the two restaurants on site: Alpine Hall and Tipsy Trout. Service quality was mixed. One night at Alpine Hall was professional, the other was amateurish with a poorly trained server and an out-of-date wine list. Service at Tipsy Trout was good. Unfortunately, I got very sick after having dinner at Alpine Hall my last night at the Lodge. When I reported my illness to a hotel employee, she asked what I had eaten and said that other guests had reported getting sick. I did not hear anything further from the Lodge. "
"I legit needed a place to crash for two nights on my ski trip. There's a restaurant downstairs and a gas station across the street that's also the liquor store. Jay Peak is 7 minutes up the road. "
"We had a wonderful experience staying at the Black Lantern Inn. The Inn is location on the main street, and very easy to find. We didn't get to the property until 1:00 AM, and the property were decorated with Christmas lighting, which made it cozy and super easier find the place, especially when it was so dark out. There's a small parking lot between the two buildings, and our room was in the Burdette House. The buildings are vintage, but the room has all the towels and basic shampoos, and shower gel. "The owners are amazing! Food is awesome, including the nightly baked goodies. Would recommend this Inn over any resort in the area or “regular” hotel."
