"A fabulous gem of a hotel with very helpful staff. Beautiful rooms, extremely comfy beds, nothing too much trouble (I ordered a kettle to make tea). Right in the centre of the old town - perfect location. Gardens within the court yard a delight. (NB Expedia - there isn't a swimming pool!)"

"From the free water and free breakfast (and 5E credit towards a "welcome drink"), this value-conscious hotel delivers comfort and convenience to the road-weary traveler. Front desk staffed by at least one fluent English speaker, generous breakfast buffet with leisurely weekend hours. Spacious bathroom with walk-out shower. Parking adjacent to hotel. After a week of Air BnB key exchanges and post-stay clean ups, it was nice to stay in a real hotel for a change. The restaurant had a series of eight colorful (abstract-ish) portraits that caught our attention. When none of the other guests could identify the subjects, we checked with the front desk, who promptly gave us the information we wanted: The "Kunst faces" of the Bauhaus movemet (early 20th century) included Wassily Kandinski, Walter Gropius, Gertrud Arndt, Paul Klee, Laszio Mohly-Nagy, Gunta Stolzi, Ludwig Mies van der Rohe, Lyonel Feininger, and Brund Taut. "Great location very close to train station. Nice, historic hotel. Staff very friendly and free breakfast was great. Would have been nice to have a mini-fridge where I could keep my Bier though:)"
