My visit was short but I found my room,Lil Jo's Bunkhouse, just as pictured. It was very clean and the bath was well stocked with clean towels and amenities. Though I did not use the patio with grill,I could see it was well equipped with all the grilling essentials. I arrived late and had no problem accessing my room with the supplied door code. The Inn is set back off the main street and was quiet. I would definitely stay there again.

Easy to find and access our room via a door code. We never interacted with staff. Comfortable bed, great shower, and plenty of space. However, the walls are a bit thin which meant we could hear our neighbors.

The room was very clean, the bed was very comfortable and I really need to find out what sheets they use because they are super high quality! It was very cozy and we had the Little Jo room towards the back which was great because we took the steak on the barbecues that were there and hung out under the little pergola in the new chairs. Then we proceeded to go down to the market and get some firewood to have a little bonfire in the back! It was fantastic and was definitely the best time we've ever had staying in a hotel. We also thought it was neat about the self check-in feature as it was super easy and didn't have to deal with any people at a desk or any lines. Two thumbs up 10 out of 10!

We ended up having to stay at another property that the owner had. Expedia double booked us at the ponderosa inn. We arrived in at the ponderosa in escalente at 8:45pm. Expedia gave us the room code and we opened the door and there were other guests in the room. I called archie the property owner and explained the situation. He confirmed that there was another booking for the room and expedia did not notify him of our booking. He was able to get us a room in another of his properties. He went above and beyond to help us even though it caused him to have to get a room ready and deal with booking us in at 9 to 10 at night.

This is a “self service“ hotel. This means that there is no one on site to help you if things don’t go well. The code they gave me to get into my room did not work and I called them multiple times to get help and have not received a response. That was two days ago. I have reported it to Expedia, hoping to get my money back and protect others from this kind of treatment.

Fast response from staff. Stayed in the Lil Jo room, it was private and clean. I liked that we could park in the back and be close to our room. The three other queen rooms are close together, I would be upset if I had booked one of the others and been so close to the other couples staying. Could be nice for multiple friends to book together. Glad I made my room choice, though it was just a guess.
