You're absolutely right, we do have a long way to go! We do all of our remodel work ourselves, so it definitely takes time, on top of the cost it takes to remodel anyways. Our heating in the remodeled rooms are brand new, but we also use electric heat so unfortunately it does take longer to heat. We're sorry you were uncomfortable. As far as the internet goes, we can't control our service provider. It's always hit or miss, you just caught it on a miss day. Again, we're sorry. We do have surcharge notices posted in 3 different spots in the lobby in case whoever is doing the check in forgets, but we'll try harder to remember. Now, for our prices, it is so much cheaper to book directly with us. Call, email, facebook, and our website...because 3rd party agencies charge us an outrages amount to have people book through them. The new hot water heater we had installed shuts itself off automatically when it reaches a certain heat however it sometimes fails to kick its self back on again when the temperature drops (we also find this very irritating as it is a brand new water heater). It was my fault for failing to check the green light on the heater before bed and again first thing in the morning to be certain it was on. I am sorry. I also apologize for you feeling unacknowledged upon your departure. I had forgotten to place the sign on the desk that reads * We are out cleaning rooms or aiding other guests. If you are ready to go you may leave your key on the desk. Thank you for your stay.* Usually my father is here to handle the desk during breakfast and checkout, but while you were here I was alone so if one guest required my assistance there was no one to cover the desk for me.

Pillow is on its way home tomorrow! We hope you choose to stay again if you come through the area again.

To avoid any issue in the future please be sure to notify staff about the pet when reserving the room. You can't book a pet friendly room if you do not ask for one. Cleanliness is our top priority and the cleaning process for when a pet stays in a room is different from our routine housekeeping. It takes much longer due to carpet scrubbing and as such the room cannot be rented for a day or two due to drying time. The guest that reserved the room for the same day you checked out had requested a guaranteed pet free room and since you did not notify us that you were bringing a pet with you we had to cancel a reservation for another family because we were unable to fulfill our promise of giving them a room a pet had never entered which was extremely important to them due to their child's severe allergies. We only have one room of that type that accommodates large families so it is strictly not pet friendly. We always strive to be accommodating to all of our guests but we cannot do so properly when we are left unaware.
