"This resort is so well run, and it is reflected in every department. The staff at each step from the front door, to the gym, to the pool areas, the dining facilities, and housekeeping are all attentive, friendly, and service oriented. Food was consistently well prepared and served. The reservation dining areas offer some interesting and flavorful food options. Pool and private beach are fantastic. We enjoyed a restful and pleasant week at the Barcelo Karmina in Manzanillo. Thank you to all of the wonderful locals who work here."

"Such a great place to stay it’s in a very good area mostly everything is walking distance! The staff was so nice and welcoming. Check in and check out was very smooth. We had a late check in due to our flight and we had no issues. Also it’s very clean and great views of the city for the city view option. I didn’t think it was too loud. But again you’re staying in the city so noise is expected. But it was very comfortable and we enjoyed our stay."

"It says pet friendly, but beware last minute they will tell you its almost 1200 peso for your dog to say. The room was like a fun house. Floor un even and very worn. Maybe because it a pet room? The shuttle was great. Staff excellent. I felt welcome. If you book a 4 person room. Look out if you add a third person they charge for that too! Money here money there. Buffet was ok though. I paid for three only two ate no refund of course on the third person. I would stay again for the convenience. But dog can stay home. Asked for late check out. But of course there's a 960 peso fee for that. So no help there. A big no!!"

"The location of the hotel is great, there’s a lot of places to eat and it’s within 10 minutes of Chapultepec. The hotel definitely needs some updates in their rooms, especially the bedding. The sink in my room wasn’t draining well enough, it would take some time for all the water to go down. Also the gym is in need of an upgrade too. Some of the machines weren’t working and it’s very limited for people like me who like to stay fit even on vacation. Other than that, the staff were great and helpful."
